In myths demons and monsters were portrayed as being beyond human in order to make their “crimes” all the more forbidden in order to describe the possessed “souls” as having non-human qualities.
The non-human qualities described were condemned in comparison to more conventional human ideals and “virtues” which were always referenced as being sacred or profane.
One could argue that piercing through the mythology of demons and monsters that more than likely they were real persons historically that actually existed beyond the mythical where their actions were so incomprehensible to many that rather than attempt to understand them the larger fearful populace instead made supernatural stories about them into vague superstitions.
All stories as impossible and fictional as they may appear have some sort of underlying truth or breach in reality hidden within them. Human beings have a tendency of making mythology out of that which they don’t know described as the unknown to them or that is incomprehensible to them. Then there are things made into mythology because a majority of people don’t want to know anything about them choosing ignorance instead.
How are monsters and demons born or created in this world?
Society and civilization ironically creates them on its own for you see whenever you have so many people that are used not to mention disposed of to a miserable end there will always be some sort of violent backlash from a variety of individuals.
The mysteries of demons and monsters then after knowing all of that becomes one which no longer has its intrigue.
The tormented, miserable, and suffering “souls” enact their own personal or individual revenge on the rest of the world around them where after some level of scapegoating has taken place by the majority of the world that refuses to understand them they then become demonized later on. This is how the birth of demons and monsters take place.
Yup we men are the monsters now. I should say of course we have always been.
You’ve nailed it though, kudos.
No one could be as evil as Vlad the Impaler surely? He must indulge in secret blood rights with The Devil no? No he’s just a psychopath. Still he did get rid of almost all crime, or should I say criminals.
By which example I mean no one is wholly demonic and no one is wholly angelic.
As much as he complains if someone like Vlad was in charge of things Joker wouldn’t even be alive,
Thats how he “solved” poverty and homelessness, by killing everyone who was impoverished or homeless.
right because that is the ultimatum that societal bullshit creates for people. he wouldnt have been in power at that certain point in time if he wasnt willing to carry out the required acts to maintain the then-current state. simple as that.
Demons are real. They aren’t fully understood, but they aren’t a myth.
Allot of people have had experiences with them. A huge amount of people.
It may only be 5% or something but that’s still huge. 5% is just a guess.
