On Being a Man

.
Any genital mutilation, is mutilation… though I don’t think that the practitioners of circumcision see what they do as mutilation, like fgm is classed as and is a reportable offence.

Circumcision in general, is an African and Middle Eastern, Arabic Semitic tradition. It is a Semitic tradition, originally stemming from Slave versus Master classes. Masters would either castrate completely, or circumcise their slaves, to mark them as Slaves.

This tradition carries forward today, into Postmodernity, as mainly synonymous with its origin: to mark Modern Slaves (aka: “Goys”). The Abrahamic religions have turned this slave morality upside-down – whereas circumcision was once a mark of shame and embarrassment (lowest class of human being), they inverted it into a mark of their Pride and Ego.

This is also why Prom and Ecmandu are defending their own mutilations: turning Shame into Pride.

If anybody were truly ‘Liberal’, or advocated Freedom, then obviously males should be 18-years-old before they can decide to mutilate themselves, like tattoos and body piercings. This is how you know that male genital-mutilation (and that’s what it is, self-mutilation) is not a political stance, but a purely religious and spiritual one (Abrahamic, slave-morality).

.
I do believe that any ‘sensory’ part of the human body that is removed leads to a cognitive-dissonance-of-biases that wouldn’t have otherwise been there -like a brain trying to reconnect with a phantom limb- due to the former pre-wired self, pre removal.
.
Emotional scars re-wire the brain, so I purport that physical scars do so too.

Absolutely…

Imagine if a society amputated or dismembered everybody’s left arm, or everybody’s left eye, at birth. Those people would grow up under the delusion that they were “perfectly normal”. Then imagine people with both arms or both eyes are introduced into that society.

The unmolested, undamaged new people, would see the dismembered people with sympathy. And many of the dismembered people would be defensive about their condition – turning it into a mark of Pride. “No, we don’t have an inferior society… it’s YOUR society that’s wrong!”

Circumcision is sort of like scalping.

posts and runs

Keep in mind, that female genital mutilation is still practiced in Africa, and in some Arabic provinces too I’ve read…

The OP has a good question: why is male genital mutilation practiced, tolerate, and even advocated in the West, but not female genital mutilation? Why the double-standard?

That was answered by Jacob, and Promethean (posted part in wrong … borderlines … thread, which was hilarious). Females don’t need folks deciding they should feel less pleasure, or a horrible way sex should be initiated (it is not biblical, so… I do not need to speak to it… except to say it should stop). Males can benefit from the cleanliness. That narrative about slave stuff is full on malarkey. Abraham, with whom God initiated male circumcision, was not a slave. Instituted in adult Abraham, who was also commanded to circumcise all male descendants… while too young to (remember) suffer the way he did, no doubt. Genesis 21:4 Study Bible: Abraham circumcised his son, Isaac, when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him..

A little bit on the awesomeness of Abraham…

But gentiles and messianic Jews (Christians) are not obligated to be circumcised anymore.

Egyptian slaves were circumcised so as to mark that they were a slave, and could not ‘hide’ their mark.

Furthermore, disobedient slaves were castrated completely, so that they would never sexually reproduce.

Genital mutilation is purely a slave-moral tradition.

In Mammalian species, like rats, rabbits, cats, etc. ‘weak’ members of the group have their ears and tails chewed off. This is a similar example, in Nature, of being marked as Lower or Lowest on the social hierarchy. Branding (tattoos, hot irons, piercings, etc) is yet another example of bodily mutilation phenomena signifying one’s place in society, or as a member of a particular group.

Precisely. Investigate this. Consider what makes sense versus what is founded on nothing more than the speakers emotion and ignorance. Like those who claim a mutilated penis is more sanitary. These would rarely condemn all female genitals as unsanitary, and these would certainly never advocate mutilating females, yet they present as though they genuinely believe their own words.

A trans woman similarly presents as though it believes what it says. This is a logical progression from the insanity that was long present before men could openly proclaim themselves to be women under protection from the state. With all the protections, from bodily autonomy to financial support, why wouldn’t certain men feel inclined to pretend to be a woman if the option is present?

Common thought is just that, it trends toward vulgarity. And many will regurgitate notions and ideas they have utterly failed to consider. Pushing ideologies like transsexualism and male genital mutilation, among many others, are clear demonstrations of deficiencies in critical thinking, logical thought, and basic reasoning.

“Well that’s what ‘they’ say” is a defense for nothing, a cop out, and a very weak position to maintain. Worse, it’s a dangerous position to maintain, as those so cognitively limited will commit atrocities while convincing themselves they are good people (“I cut his dick so it’s cleaner, I’m a good mom!”).

This is the danger of unthinking behavior.

When was this?

Is it because the Jews were already circumcised when they became slaves in Egypt?

Anyway, poor Ishmael:

I think that^ second one is wrong on his age, & the word captivity (it should be wilderness). At least Abraham understood the all-peoples promises covenant with his descendants included Ishmael (in opposition to his disgruntled wife…see…shoulda never messed with Hagar, and that’s on Sarai!).

It’s like trying to discuss differential equations where most of the crowd ditched math when they deemed fractions to be nonsensical. Once they pull out the ancient books of magical thinking to defend their positions, you know it’s over.

Well if you’re going to ditch history recorded in the Bible & use same standards for all of our texts that record history, you’re gonna throw out a lot of history.

They will perform male circumcision in our hospitals due to health benefits. There are none for female circumcision.

You will support barbarism because of your beliefs. No genitals benefit from mutilation. You are simply wrong, you can’t defend it logically, and the whimsical defenses of religion cannot stand to reason.

It’s science. Google it.

Stop trimming your nails. Don’t even clean under them. Barbarism.

No more haircuts.

Showers? You’re removing skin. Stop that.

I… bet… you… shave!

To rephrase your statement:

“This is what I believe. I encourage you to look to the internet to dig up all the things that support my foolishness, cuz I’m sure not looking into anything that contradicts my beliefs.”

The equivalencies you present only serve to mock you. You defend your stance blindly, ignorant of reality and fact. You liken keratin to erogenous tissue, muscle, mucous membrane, nerves, and skin. You would be nothing more than a nuisance in isolation, but as a cog in the machine you uplift, you are something worse.

“It’s science”

No, it isn’t. Homo sapiens lived for thousands of years without being circumcised and they did just fine except for having ugly lookin’ johnsons. That’s science.

The dude is right, and you are wrong. Cutting a newborn infants dick off moments after he’s born is almost some Alfred Hitchcock level shit it’s so creepy.

Then, you try to draw a relevant analogy by using haircuts and clipping toenails as a similar thing.

Stand back for a second, pretend like you’ve never even heard of judaism and christianity, and look at the situation without knowing what’s going on. Ask the doc what he’s doing and why, then marvel at the bizarre nature of his explanation.

You have a bias that’s blocking your brain from seeing what’s happening.

I birthed two sons. I asked questions. I hated allowing the procedure & prolly wouldn’t do it, had I to do it over again.

But, I knew someone who was uncircumcised, who hated looking different so much, he wanted the procedure done. Plus, because he was uncircumcised, he had a weird condition related to urination that does not occur for circumcised folks. I can’t remember what it was called. I think the foreskin wouldn’t go back enough, so urine collected, or something.

Grody to the max.

Snip snip.

FGM involves completely closing up the genital entrance permanently or mutilating the genital area beyond recognition, causing long-term pain and trauma.

I do think that males should be of a certain age, so that they themselves can choose whether to be circumcised or not.
