So what do you suggest?
No military and no government??
LOL
Good luck with that
THis is where you go on ignore.
Run along.
.
Can you also put me on ignore, please.
Don’t tell me what to do.
LOL
.
I asked, not told.. see the difference?
Passive agressive is still agressive
OP, you seem to ignore military as a deterrent. As it stands, when you abolish your military, you will be conquered. What, if military is bad, is your plan without military?
I think that at the least, military is a means to the development of technology which may prove useful in other ways than fighting. For example the computer was largely developed in the pursuit of means to warfare, namely encryption and the atomic bomb.
It is on the other hand doubtful that the computer has made human life better. You may be right, it may all be bad. But what is the alternative? They killed John Lennon.
What is worth living and dying for? What is worth defending and building? Everything we’re not doing for that is a racket.
…not human, all too not human… a primitive mentally, that mars the evolving ascension of [hu]man.
But what will end this mentality? Apart from a massive shift to “5D”?
.
My answer would be unpalatable to most, so I decline to answer…
A deterrent? Of itself?
As conveyed in the original text:
September 11 was a major military intelligence failure and tragedy. Military, in conjunction with other administrative agencies, failed to thwart the attacks. Recall the attack on Pearl Harbor and countless other historical events around the world.
Modern warfare consists largely of cyber-warfare and is less pronounced to the general public. Military is heavily involved in cybersecurity and operations involving cyberattacks themselves. Cyberattacks obviously remain prevalent, one could even argue they are exacerbated by the military complex itself which carries the capacity to conduct such activity. In many cases enemies are manufactured.
As Sculptor indicates above and as Butler implies with his earlier material military will provoke other nations which subsequently strike in retaliation.
One must remain critical and consider certain circumstances when evaluating these topics. Military, the Military Industrial Complex is a business. A product. A brand. Individuals make livings from their efforts in the ranks and also from weapons contracts. They are essentially selling a product. The system could easily claim it thwarted some attempted attack to bolster its position and peddle the product.
The human species possesses a brain and mind of great ability and great significance. Exercising the brain through focused study and contemplation, discussion and argumentation as facilitated here can grow and strengthen the human brain. This activity strengthens the higher brain providing it more power and control over the lower brain. It strengthens and increases connections and coordination of higher brain capacities with lower brain capacities increasing higher cognitive influence allowing better discernment and enhanced approaches to life. Personally I’d prefer to do so naturally, voluntarily, organically, not with a Neuralink chip inserted into my brain.
As expressed in an earlier thread:
Philosophical discourse has practical application. Humanity has developed the internet. The internet is a remarkable tool. Sadly it is used primarily for amusement and entertainment rather than communication and growth. The internet should be used to communicate with other nations, with each other, to dissolve conflict and difference, to improve the global community and gradually dissolve military so energy and resources may be allocated to more productive things.
This is a conscious effort to stimulate cognitive activity in order to advance the species to accomplish these goals.
“A deterrent? Of itself?”
Okay you are just trolling. A deterrent of other people. In the animal kingdom, animals animals eat and dominate other animals. Violence didnt come into this world with military.
“September 11”
If burning kerosine could melt steel, wouldn’t it melt the engines it fuels?
The internet, the computer, was developed as a result of military development.
The internet is not an agent. It doesn’t help to resolve conflicts. Conflicts generally are based on opposing valuations. The internet doesn’t help in resolving that.
Im not denying there is huge profiteering and engineering of wars to sell weapons (9/11 was is such a trick, and it was other, deeper occult trickery) but you go too far, into the illogical.
A deterrent of other people? As in Ukraine and Russia? Or the Myanmar war? The Red Sea crisis? The war in Amhara? World War I? World War II? Does military deter criminals in the streets?
This subject is controversial by its very nature.
You claim I go too far yet you must cling to the animal kingdom, you must constrain humanity to the level of warthogs to maintain your point. It is precisely the mentality hindering human advancement.
Warthogs? Okay… you seem to have an absolute disdain for animals and think we are categorically separate of them… or should, could would be, if we stop fighting.
Why did you skip over things that put your ideas to the test? The internet as a result of military development?
You think competition is a bad thing? You don’t think it spurs on achievement? Don’t think it can productively coexist with cooperation?
Atomic weapons, which are military tools, serve as deterrent most clearly. That is why there are only proxy wars between the great powers. If they wouldn’t have deterred, there would be just cockroaches on this planet now.
And yes there are plenty of instances when the military has been employed against crime in the streets. Sweden the most recent example in Europe. It goes back to Ancient Rome.
You seem naive. But then you actually think a tank full of kerosine can literally melt a 400 meter tall steel structure. So it’s not just an appearance.
Yes, warthogs. In fact “warthog” happens to be the name of a military vehicle.
Animality as exhibited by humanity is rather pathetic.
You are constraining humanity to history. You are confining humanity to mere animality with no room for growth. One should have higher expectations for Earth’s alleged highest order. Humanity emphasizes technological advancement while ignoring its own advancement. Thus technology advances while the species itself does not.
The internet may have been a result of military development. However the internet could have been developed outside military means as most technology is developed.
The point is internet is not a free service. One must purchase hardware, one must purchase various devices and services to use the internet. One must pay out of pocket for the product. One also pays taxes with said transactions along with most other common exchanges.
In other words military is not providing internet service. Private business, private enterprise is selling that service and those products for profit while military and government take additional money in the process.
Obviously internet is big business:
“Between 2024 and 2028, global revenues generated by advertising in media and internet services will grow significantly, going from 884 billion U.S. dollars to 1.11 trillion U.S. dollars. Revenues generated by paid digital and analog content such as offline and online video entertainment services will experience moderate growth, reaching 750 billion U.S. dollars in 2028. In 2028, revenues generated from internet access costs will make up 38 percent of the total, reaching 1.14 trillion U.S. dollars.”
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1277591/revenue-worldwide-media-and-internet-by-segment/
And that’s largely what military is, big business. The military complex assists and protects global corporations, it secures resources such as oil which corporations then sell to the people at high prices. Military facilitates the freedom of the greedy, predatory marketplace. The freedom to buy. Through this it is revealed that military serves corporations more so than actual Constitutional freedom and citizenry.
Competing for fun is one thing.
Competing for food, housing, for basic survival within a supposed civil system is another. So is utilizing competitive drive to elevate things to outrageous proportions.
Atomic weapons are tools of the powerful perpetuating hierarchical rule. You don’t have the launch codes.
Atomic weapons did not stop 9/11. Or any of that other stuff.
