I like new stuff - I just like good stuff more.
I like Korn, Black Flag, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Deftones - you know, serious musicians that aren’t just trying to get on Conan. And that eventual gig in Vegas. And then on to a reality show and then Celebrity Jeopardy.
So when a band goes on Conan, they cease to be good musicians? Or is it impossible that a good musician would go on Conan? God knows, a good musician would never book a tour date in Vegas. Oi.
No, no, no. I didn’t say that. I said that there is a difference between a band with musical integrity, like Linkin Park, and a band that just wants to make some money by pretending to be badass to 14-year-olds. And others, evidently. Hey, I saw Monsters, Inc while in my 40’s. Thought it was great. I just waited for the two-dollar rental, instead of the $8.50 big-screen price.
I have nothing against acts like Boyz II Men, Brittney Spears and System of a Down. All I said was that I’d rather wait until I can see them on a cruise ship. An all-inclusive one, of course.
