Anyone remember “JJJ”?
Dude, that guy was focused on one thing: his point. He claimed to have written several books on his beliefs (I believe it due to his many infintely long posts). This was not a big deal in and of itself, but debating with him was useless. You were either “right on track” if you agreed with him, or “hopelessly un-enlightened and philosophically unself-motivated” if you disagreed with him.
Surely there must be a name for this kind of disorder.
What about “whitelotus”? Anyone remember him. I think PoR is headed in that direction, but he is not there yet (no offense, PoR).

GateControlTheory:
Arendt was very much annoyed with many people here, and several times she was quite angry as well. She simply never bothered to confront anyone about it. I think it has more to do with female submissiveness then ODD, which, by the way, can basically be construed as AntiSocial Personality Disorder in adults.
Female submissiveness or female subversive-ness? Sometimes it is better to avoid giving your opponet the benefit of seeing your anger.

i think it is safe to say that the elders of ILP dont think about the newcomers(like me,truth uzi, blindseer, etc.)when they say these things.

I must concur…
Ill (as in unwell) pee-R (rhymes with pee-er) sounds like something else entirely…

For brevity and obscurity, why not simplify to Pite? No need to be ill.

I prefer ILPh. Rhymes with MILF.
Dervied from Elf…
Yeah, that’s a decent alternative that I’d not spotted…

xander,
I think it is fine to leave the ill part as that would fit most of us…

The thread is like ODD patients asking the doctor if they’ve got ODD.
Sure, it’s also addictive.

Not at all, we have went on to prove that we’ve indeed got ODD, and it’s contagious, and addictive.
This thread was only ever likely to confirm the answer as yes…
I’ve chosen to take that personally…

I’d like to point out that I’m not only ODD, but also PRIME.
Nowhere near enough, this will hopefully become another 40 page epic if I get my way…
Heck, I got 10 pages of discussion out of one non-question regarding pedophilia, I’m sure we can drum up a few more posts if only more 'ODD/odd jokes…
Come on, we’ve got post counts to think of…

Yeah let’s do it. Come over and join us Xanderman, I see you are getting a little lonesome over there.
ODD is many a pround thing to carry about, and we must thank ILP for that: Originality Discovering Disorder, Opinion Destroying Disorder, Ontological Deconstruction Disorder, Obsessive Dunamis Disorder, etc.

Boring answer: Ilp suffers from a lack of consistent consequence for any given action.
