Other methods of knowledge besides logic

Who can say that Faulkner did not know of truth though he did not use logic

I intend to incorporate this concept into my essay and need the logicians to show my pitfalls

Logical reasoning; a reasoning that arises from arguments that build on each other

Emotional reasoning: a reasoning that does not require arguments as in love

Realistic reasoning; reasoning that requires perceptions that build on each other starting from that which is self evident

Conceptual reasoning; a reasoning based on a perception that is not built on much

If u think logic alone is enough, then comprehend quantum mechanics

Methods of thought are various.
Logic is a certain class of methods of thought.
It’s almost like an orthadoxy: human logic.
It’s quite popular, also, because it can be conveyed in an appealing way.

Some people believe that faith is more important than logic,
so not all agree that logic, in one form or another, is good, or
is the best.

You list a few sympathies.
So you are choosing to catagorize.

I don’t bother catagorizing logic much. I just stick to my main method
and observe others.

I think I need to change the names to

  1. the philosophy of logic
  2. the philosophy of the heart
  3. the philosophy of concepts
  4. the philosophy of reality

I think I need to change the names to

  1. the philosophy of logic
  2. the philosophy of the heart
  3. the philosophy of concepts
  4. the philosophy of reality

I’m not sure your distinctions are necessary, or even interesting. What makes them worth separating?

The reason you do not see them as necessary is because you have always used only one school of philosophy, which is the philosophy of reason

But how do you study literature, or abstract art, and if you do study these subjects, then you realize there is a philosophical school of the heart, which deems that arguments can be made without much to build on, and these arguments are personal to the person

How can you understand Jung, if not through a philosophical school of concepts

or what is called the common sense philosophy of tupac shaker, without the philosophical school of reality

I believe that by first categorizing these schools and defining them, we can begin the process and finding their rules and methods, and can study each school of philosophy, how they are interconnected, and what their potential is to improving the human condition

Also,

What is the point to philosophy if it cannot contemplate the entirety of the human condition

I think all methods of knowledge boil down to

Sensation
&
Reasoning

We either experience things first hand or we gain information through reasoning; and we are often utilizing a combination of the two.

Agreed though I think the reasoning functions are logic and heart philosophies

And the sensation functions are the conception and realism philosophies
