Buena suerte diciéndoles eso a los liberales políticos, porque todo lo que no sea democracia se considera pura maldad. Lo irónico es que son las agencias de inteligencia liberales y democráticas las que intentan instaurar una monarquía en Irán. Estos liberales democráticos no valoran nada más que el dinero.

Likewise because I live on the Mexico border I have been trying to improve my Spanish over the last decade. It’s not my native tongue though as English primarily is.
And the information regarding North Korea comes from western intelligence agencies, because they’re so trustworthy being exemplary of transparent honesty?
I don’t trust anything that comes out of my government anymore.
Of all the languages, I learned one that 5.5 million speak but I suppose it helps a bit with German, Swedish and Norwegian, but not that much..
But why is the place so locked down? Visitors are always strictly guided and no one outside those designated are allowed to talk to them.

Well I understand why they are paranoid, I remember my old man watching MASH reruns and thinking that was reality.. I knew better..
Still not sure why they are forced to look happy all the time though, sounds like a nightmare, I definitely wouldn’t fit in.

In my experience, the larger the population, the less influence people have over their government. In a smaller nation, people can demonstrate outside the government offices and it actually means something. I’m not sure how genetics fits in, I think it’s more a question of agency, and how much power the individual citizen feels they have.

The addage, with more people in terms of population density the more problems you will possess.
It also has something to do with where the centre of power is located, how accessible it is and how well cared for the people that live there are.
UK is a perfect example, the centre of power is right at the bottom of a long island, in a huge city, and more investment goes into that city, by far, than any other part of the country. If I have a problem with the UK government, what can I do? Travel over 500 miles and join the protest? Be kettled by the police? They won’t even hear what anyone there has to say, they’re completely insulated.
That’s why I support Scottish independence, we’re a nation of 5.5 million, like the Danes, and I’ve had personal responses from Scottish MP’s, sometimes quite detailed ones. Our government is “devolved”, which means much of the decision making process is made by the Scottish government which is located in Edinburgh about half an hour away from me, but resources and taxation and many other things are still in the hands of Westminster.
I firmly believe small nations do much better, especially if they have resources at their disposal.
