Remember before cell phones were common, back in the day when people used pagers?

Wasn’t that a funny time?

I used to call people’s pagers and just punch in all 8’s.

On the screen it’d just come up like 8888888888. So they’d think something was wrong with it.

Pretty funny shit.

And before pagers you could just disapear and no one would bother you. You could claim ignorance of time, unable to find a working phone, all sorts of good excuses to evade someone, technology does not always improve peace of mind 😆

Ever seen The Wire? Pagers are central to the first season. Excellent show.
