It IS learned hate - Paris Hilton is the classic tabloid hate figure - rich, thick, skinny, vacuous, utterly underserving of the advantages she has in life and incapable of doing anything worthwhile with them. She illustrates the lie that is calling our society meritocratic.

I think the dislike come from annoyance too. Sometimes you don’t want to hear about her, but you cannot escape her. She’s everywhere. She’s like an annoying friend who is always calling you with nothing to say.
I don’t hate Paris Hilton. She’s suuuuuch an awesome singer. She should win a Grammy for her album. And an Emmy. And an Oscar. She’s that good.

No. people hate her because shes a dumb bitch. She abuses the gifts she been given in life. Shes selfish, the things she could be doing positivly. She has no need for money. Paris Hilton may be the figurehead of that whole ‘crowd’ of people, but she’s most definitely not the only one and most definitely not the worst. Get pissed off at the people who are going to be born to rich oil families who made far more than the Hiltons, and are going to act accordingly worse.

The only reason people hate Paris Hilton is because she’s the figurehead. She isn’t that bad. She’s an idiot, but she lives off of our admiration/fear/disgust. Much like the Coke Monster, ignore her and she goes away.
