I saw this movie and not only was I disappointed, but I was almost pissed to the point that I almost left out of disgust. Right away with the opening credits I could tell the movie was going to suck. The plot and screenplay proved it.
In Pathfinder, Karl Urban (Lord of the Rings, The Bourne Supremacy, Doom) is a Norseman raised by Native Americans who single-handedly defeats an entire expeditionary assault group of Viking warriors who have come to America SPECIFICALLY to wipe out the natives for colonization.
That’s right… they came to “cleanse” the land, but it’s worse than that… it seems like the makers of this film went out of their way to demonize the Vikings. Not to mention, there are a number of scenes that make the Native Americans seem stupid, despite their culture.
In the sagas regarding the discovery and attempted colonizations of North America by the Vikings, it is reported that the two main reasons the colonization failed was because 1) there was infighting about the limited number of women (they were silly enough to not bring enough women!), and 2) because of bad relations with the natives (despite the fact that the two parties did trade, there was much fighting).
THIS MOVIE SUCKED BALLS…i think they were trying to make fun of indians in this movie, and the plot was fucking retarted, wast of time and money, not to mention the fight scenes were something out the the fukcing 90s, i mean cmon every since matrix and gladiator i actually like to see the “fight” not just flailing arms and angry faces then some spins a clink sound and then more flailing and so on…terrible movie…i give it a Score of 1-10 a… -5
