I do believe our mind compexity is more due to diet and creating shelter than anything else. We are animals but, as a weaker species we had to develop adaptions to survive. Behold a weak ape becomes lord of the jungle and no longer an ape.

I disagree, those are just the natural states of your animal brain; that you use language as the tool to exercise those states, is an altogether different matter.
If only it were so easy to generalize anything in this world as just this or just that so that we could all agree that this definition unquestionably fit each of our perceptions…you might be onto something.
So in other words, I guess what I’m saying is, the very fact that someone might disagree is enough to negate any evidence of this being ‘so’ in the most certain of ways.
What are animals? What are these words with definitions that we play with? What does it matter what we’re classified as or why? It’s pointless.
Ahh, but, I have light and straight tools in this brain too. I also have neutral. When communicating I use the part /tool that seems to work at that point. My natural state of mind is one of YAAAAAAwwn.
