I have a friend who is doing an Open University course in the U.K. and a question she has come across is to define Persistent Minorities and to give an example of a persistent minority.
She has told me that she has mentioned in her essay about the Disability act (equality with jobs etc…) and the womens rights act (equal pay, jobs etc…)
I just wondered if anyone could give a further example or please confirm whether these acts she has mentioned will be correct to focus on.
If not, I wondered if anyone had a further example that could be used.
Maybe you could elaborate on what Persistent Minorities are. You just posted this question here too, sg.answers.yahoo.com/question/in … 203AAdVORN :Jaytee, james t, Jay). I don’t have a problem discussing your assignment with you if the question is interesting. Personally, I might write about gypsies if I understand what you mean by persistent minorities rightly. Or maybe paedophiles. Or illiterates, or Herpes. “Persistent Minorities” is not a catch phrase, there is not a Wikipedia article with this title, it only occurs on Google 317 times (now 318…) which is very few times relatively speaking; so I’d want to know what this expression refers to before starting any big projects if I were you. Personally I wouldn’t write about women or a Disability Act (what country?) as they are boring topics.
