Just an idea that popped into my head, its based on the Celtic notion of ‘honour-worth’.

More points = more and better credit rating in financial terms, a generally higher position in society, govt, and commerce e.g. get better job offers when combined with your other qualifications.

Good point. People would add their own good points and the good points of others [charitable acts etc]. For phones you have an app so you report people and make comments like on forums. If you are overweight and keep buying junk food you get negative points. If you rip off the state/taxman, drive badly, drink to much, act violently etc, etc then you get negative points. Anything that gets registered about you would affect your literal social status.
It works better if people with high points when they decide add more points than someone with low points perhaps. Maybe someone with high points can see something others cannot. My impression of humans in general is that they are persuaded by what they want to hear, not what they need to hear. So there goes all the decent philosophers. And you have to remember that there’s sexual value in denying the truth and not being killed for it (it gives the impression that the person is immortal and powerful), so there’s that to contend with as well. And this is species wide, so basically you’d merit out all the decent people trying to (and are) help(ing) the species.
Amorphos, you are asking people to be honest, to put aside emotions and to be able to name a stranger that does a deed or actually record it…Thats akin to putting a huge tub of ice cream in the middle of 30 first grade kids and then expecting them to give you their undivided attention. It won’t work so well.

Why? There are many causal drives and the subjective will select what is most beneficial. Decency would be as fundamental as money!
These things already have some means, so this would be a continuance of that support structure and probably best to be faded in gradually. Thus we can gain experiential information on each issue as it comes up.
