Phenomenology and Ontology

What is the relationship between both?

Ontology concerns to the study the essences of the beings. Correct? Phnomenology conscerns to the study of the phenomena, the appearances. Correct?

We reconized the things that exists (their essences) through the experience of their appearances. This make sense?

Thanks.

From the SEP:

Ontology is the study of beings or their being — what is.

Phenomenology is the study of our experience — how we experience.

OK.

But, is there a relatioship between both?

How we have access to the essences of the beings?

I guess that we answer the question “what is that?”, through the experience of the appearances of the being. This point of view is correct?
