Philosophy Blog War and Question on Charisma

Just inviting anyone who is interested to join the philosophy blog war started by my study group. It’s just a fun way to read a variety of philosophy-based articles, contribute something and learn from each other.

Also, my last entry was about charisma and includes a few philosophical questions about what charisma is, its composition and mechanics and I was looking for anyone who has any knowledge on the subject to maybe help the group out with some answers.

The most intensive study on Charisma that there is, is Dr. Doe Lang’s book, entitled: Charisma: New Ways to Capture the Magic Skills of Leaders and Lovers.

Aside being a self-help book, I assure you it is an intense study of exactly what Charisma is – the woman dedicated her whole life to the answering of that question. Incidentlly, I know because I actually worked with her for a year – and damn, I’ll tell you, she’s certainly got charisma! (Helped me get some too!)

My favorite line (not hers - her quoting) Charisma is “a quality of believing your own lies.”

UDM - Thank you so much for stopping to answer my charisma question. I will have to see if I can get a copy of Dr Lang’s book.

I have heard that quote about charisma before and look forward to investigating the whole subject a little more.
