Does anyone have one? Or does anyone have a good idea for one? I’m filling in the blanks between alot of other tattoos and thought about getting something that is philosophy related. Any ideas?

That’s exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for. Keep em coming!
Maybe if that were his middle finger.
Ok any new ideas people?
Im thinking of getting this tattoo:
It’s not necessarily philosophical, though it can be.
Nice. You going to get color or just the black and white?
I plan on getting it black and white. Probably on my ribs, though shoulder would be a good place as well.
Tattoos on the ribs are painful. I think I’ll get the symbol for Tao.
Ok people, I’m trying to get this thread to the top so that you guys can help me out. Post something philosophical that I should get tattooed. I’m going the first week of june. COME ON!!!
tatoos are not attractive. But if i had to answer this question seriously I would say-yeah I just can’t
Thank you. That is very helpful.
why don’t you get a quote from your favorite philosopher.
I saw the Confucian virtues tattooed on someone. Dao is also relatively common, but I don’t think a lot of people with that one got it because of their genuine interest in philosophy.
Get your favourite philosopher tattooed on your brain and see if you feel any smarter. Make sure you don’t tattoo two or more, especially conflicting ones, as you may go crazy. Then again, that could still be achieved by using some philosophers on their own!
I"ll have to think about that one. I thought about getting some praying hands tattooed on my taint.
I generally think they are rather tragic, but James Dean Bradfield of Manic Street Preachers fame has a tattoo reading ‘Anxiety is Freedom’ , and any nod to dear ol’ Kierkey is fine in my book.
“I ink therefore I am.”
I’ve also toyed with the idea of getting a tattoo that would just be script written on both of my forearms which would read (left forearm) “Upon the left the saints can only guess.” (right forearm) “but Upon the right they yearn towards the light.” It plays on the old superstition that the left side is open to the influence of the devil, but the right is fortified and protected by God, which shares a similiarity with the dichotomy employed in the yin yang symbol of Taoism.
Ok time for another tattoo…
Any ideas anyone??
