Plan B - The social implications

Sooo, the U.S. now has an FDA approved “morning after” pill available for 18 and older women (legally) and of course, available to anyone under 18 (illegally). What do you foresee as the results of this new source of “contraception”. Is this to be properly classed as contraception? Is it approved chemical abortion?

Your thoughts?

I see a whole lot less teen pregnancy, that’s what I see.

Though there is a possible spike in various STDs, since Americans are, by-and-large, too stupid to wear condoms. But that is dubious – I don’t see the morning after pill increasing the amount of stupid sex going on in America, but I do see it decreasing one of the most tragic by-products of stupid sex.

It’s a winner all around.

Not personally in favor of abortions, chemical or otherwise.

But prudence must win the day, and as Xunzian so wisely noted, promiscuity, stupidity and Americans are a continuous recipe for disaster for children viewed as “by-products”.

In the end, it will stop unwanted pregnancy, but the stupidity will live on.
