Honesty brother I don’t care if it ever does.
It may end up a sort of anti hunger games, who knows, and then a back uo would be appreciated now and then. Course I won’t press on that.
Of course you may want to analyze this game, but a game is only a game after all. Even wars, before they become real nowadays they, play war games prior to engagement to simulate the probable outcome.
So since so many mistakes have been made, I suggested that we not continue this and start another one.
However, since we seemed to have major issues with keeping our positions, communications straight,
I am not sure we are capable to move ahead with it.
Finally, being a good and thoughtful game, we need transparency in terms of what is going on move by move.
Since most of these seem to be missing in this game, even before this last problem,I offered to start a new game, or call it a draw.
Since You chose none of those options, we went ahead with this present game. However, this continuity has further showed lack in the above listed areas.
On basis. Of that, in particular having a non factual position for your King, and an allowed stated position of my horse, and despite sending pictures of those positions, you still dismissed them as contravertible.
On basis of the above, if you still require adjudication, flannel Jesus volunteered for the job.
I asked for his unsolicited offer to apply here, since you are leaving doubt as to my suggestion, that I am not forcing this game to fruition, and am willing to let it go and start another game, without any points subtracted, either win or loose.
Finally, I am still sticking to the promise I made, to let this go, it is just a game, and if You want we can switch sides, I will become Black, and play your side, and I have already told you, I am willing and able to do that without loosing any sleep over it.
I hope you can do that too, if not, I am up for any other suggestion which may come to you.
You, Obe, have probably started out with your board the wrong way. If you think that black’s king belongs on d8, then it’s likely a result of you having begun with the board rotated 90 degrees from its correct position. Both QUEENS start on D. Kings start on E.
Make sure that, when you’re setting up your board, regardless of if you’re looking at it from Black or from White’s point of view, a white square is on the right bottom corner - white on right. So A1 is a black square, as is H8. (You have to translate White to Clear and Black to White, of course, Obe). Once you have your board rotated correctly, with white on bottom right, make sure each queen is on a square the same as her own colour - black queen on black square, white on white.
So, here’s where we stand: Obe started out with a board mixed up - king’s positions switched with queens, probably wrong coloured corners as well. Obe has made a series of grave mistakes that were due, not to poor skill at chess, but poor skill at clarity and arranging the board correctly.
As Arbiter, I suggest this game simply be dropped due to these problems - it’s not fair to Obe to make him stick with moves that he didn’t mean to make, just because he was being a little bit careless about what he agreed to, and how he set up his board. However, it’s also not fair to Tyrannus to force him to give up a game that’s favorable to him, so in punishment of Obe’s bad manners and silliness, I will give you a mark of shame so that you will always remember to rotate the board correctly and put the pieces in the right places.
The mark of shame has been administered. Start a new game, start it with the board set up correctly, and use simple notation - piece, starting positio -, ending position. Like Tyrannus. PBNRQK are piece names, use capitals for piece names and lowercase for file names, eg P e2-e3.
Sorry Tyrannus for having to end your game; it wouldn’t have been a proper win for you anyway – it’s like playing soccer against a blind amputee. You’d win, but you couldn’t feel that good about it. Start anew, don’t fuck up Obe, you shameful chess player, have a good and fair game and may the least shameful chess player win.
Got it. Now to get out of a seemingly, and admittedly shamful series of positions, ( I received this board from one of my sons as a Christmas years ago as a present, and oddly enough, all squares appear white, (and pieces), and the do to the combination of fatigue and faint lighting, the transperent could not be sufficiently be distinguished from the the other color, which I knew represented Black.
Be as it may, it was a representative set of mistakes that did end up- either as comic relief, or, had other mildly amusing set of a comedy or errors built, depending to the type of interpretation hooked up to it. As a result, cross purposes other than WINNING the actual game emerged as a possible scenario after only a few moves. In fact, after the very first move. .
.
So thank You Flannel for Your time spent on it , and to Tyr, take it from one who can withstand a public display of contrition, we can rematch in the forseeable future, or, some other time we can agree on.
Ok. But as far as problems are concerned, there is always the unexpected. However no trump cards or , or behind the scene shanenigams, are most of all: here it goes my pledge:
Heretofore this day, sunday nov.25. 2014 AD, I obe promise to abide to the rules and regulations of conventional ICA, to the best of my ability, and with moves and representations truthfully admitted.
Thanks to your acceptance. Furthermore oh I almost forgot, the games may run on challenge by any interested paticipating , forthcoming.
