Poetic Pool: Come join me!

I think we should start a Impromtu Poem Posting Pool, a place where you come and read the poems, then make one up on the spot and post it.

Come on… It’ll be fun!

The Dark Of After Light

Some say that the wind in hard to see,
That all the wise and the strong will never be…
Much more than fleeting lives into the sea.

Some say that Heart is love,
That passion is locked with in the dove…
And all that, is swept away in spirals above.

Never seek the weary wood or the shaking branch of rest,
That is the weakest form of strength and the worst of the best…
And all that, is caught in time and pulled out from your breast.

For living love…

Is the final test.

Isn’t that what the Creative Writing area already is???

This will be all poems and all impromptu!

I want a place where poems will get some discussion and comparison and I think this is the best way to do it.

I can’t write anything impromptu and I’m not a poet. I write love letters to my boy, but that would not apply here because I don’t have my inspiration. Maybe if you’re going to do this type of thing, you could have multiple threads with different topics. You’re not giving us much to go on to get a sort of poetic free association started, you know. It’s not a bad idea, it just needs a focus.

Indeed, it needs a topic… Otherwise, how you gona compare when one’s about trees and the other dogs?

An impromtu poem:

Fiend of shadow, bloodless revenant,
The twisting hangman’s noose is evident.

Starving, ravenous, burning, spinning,
darkness now forever winning.

Great maw, dripping, drawing, teething,
endless hunger beyond believing.

Restless secret fires burning,
the circle ever keeps on turning.

What was done, be done again,
now a foe, former friend.

Take away what has been broken
Let no more of this be spoken.

Keep it hidden in your mind
Let it grow both fierce and blind

Cut away, slash and slice
What a feeling, oh so nice

A tooth for a tooth an eye for an eye
For each our dead, ten theirs shall die.

Let no warrior standing here say
That they’ll revenge ‘gainst us one day.

For we will pay them back in blood
Let none rest till this claim is good.

Vendetta!

I would be greatful if you ALTER MY POSTS’ CONTENTS , and actually INFORM ME before hand or afterwards!!!

btw, it sucks

what was that??

anyway, how about doing the poems on society? that would be interesting…

what do you think?

Glad you give us a topic… I might try my luck with it later on.

Don’t worry about the previous post - it’s intended for some sneaky moderator on site.

Okay, here is one on the topic of society…

Scar

I open the door to the outside world,
Seeing a Machine that never stops,
I look away and wander astray,
For the Machine never stops.

I cry out loud for the beauty to come back,
The Machine smiles,
And I am crushed into the ground with out a sound,
For the Machine never stops.

(continued)

Crashed to the ground with a loud bang,
By the never-stoping machine.
Reflection and thoughtation,
For the ever-turning mind.

What beauty can I seek:
Outside the machine, beyond the world?
All splender in the gears, every subtlness of the spears -
The very best I can get.

Or is it really:
The tiny spark in the dark factory?
Music, paint and poerty -
Angles of our sanctury?

Beauty is upon ugly, as ugly hides in beauty;
Rivers flow in streams, so free, yet banked by boundary.
Our wonderous creator never had misplans:
The deepest desire,
The furthermost imaginary fire…

Born and rised in this whole awkawrd affair.

A Medicated Love

Hello pretty face of fire,
What is that which you desire?

A medicated happy life?
A living lie of sythetic strife?

I am here for you,
And you will never see through,

For the medicated dove,
No longer symbolizes love,

A damned life, uncontroled and dead,
A fading human, medicated in the head,

I just wish we could work it out,
I think we could do it, without a doubt,

The medication keeps us square,
The medication regrows our hair,
The medication stops the pain,
The medication gives us gain,
The medication lives our lives,
The medication sharpens our knives,
The medication cuts us down,
The medication makes us frown,
The medication takes the love away,

The medication must go away.

So, you all should start putting some random poems on society here! Yes! It will be cool!
