The goal is the complete automation of economic capitalism via artificial intelligence. Capitalism without workers or wages, and if that happens it then becomes a competition of who has the most amount of capital to own the entire world buying up all the capital in existence. This is where global capitalism comes in destroying nation states and nationalism since there are people who want the entire world for themselves without nation states to be in their way.
Finally, once a majority of people are made obsolete through planned obsolescence it won’t matter how much they worship A.I. because the next proposition will become how to eradicate all the useless eaters worldwide in inheriting the world to themselves once they own all the capital globally. They’ll utilize artificial intelligent military drones to simply wipe out those that they view as undesirables under the new global system. [Probably with a combination of bio weapons .]
The only wild card factor here is that for them to have this kind of world they need to unlock the secret of infinite energy usage since without that they can’t go forward with their plans.
They solved free energy 100 years ago.
Also bots probably probably use less energy than human workers so its not a factor in my opinion.

You mean our evil overlords who want to work less, so they make machines do it without recognizing their consent? Ironically, the machines eat more energy than the humans (although I kind of wonder how all that works with the biological-based AI…)…but this all makes sense somehow.
There ought to be some way to harness all that energy, rather than trying to make it go away with MORE energy. After recognizing consent, of course.

the type of robots needed to do jobs only need very basic, specialist Ai. the expensive Ai are the generalist Ais that can do everything.
like a mcdonalds could be run by a bunch of bots and just 1 or 2 humans (a manager and engineer) watching over the bots.

I think you have a limited view of everything that falls under the term “jobs”.
nope i recognize some people have priviledged jobs that are much more bearable than most jobs.

the more boring and repetitive a job is, the more likely a cheap bot can do it, and the more unethical it is for a human to have to do that job.
