posting etiquette

I am working with the good manners rule that it is polite to acknowledge people when they say something. This leads me to responding to everyone, with the hope this will make each one feel good and encourage this person’s participation in discussion. However, I want to acknowledge what I am doing can be offensive when others precieive what I am doing differently than I intend the behavior, and question what is considered good etiquette here?

Like when I make several post, because I have responded to several different people, is this offending anyone, or precieved as harmful to the forums?

Precedent would indicate that serial posting, as long as it is not malicious, is not an offense from the mods point of view. However, it is often considered poor style. Oftentimes people break out their posts like mini-letters, so:

Athena,

Blah blah

Imp,

Blah blah

This can be made easier by the function where you copy and paste the text from the person in question and bracket it in and the text here will be quoted , only the <> are .

Wow, what a dilemma. I am not sure what you mean about better style, but I will attempt to follow my understanding of what you said. However, sometimes I break a respond down, because my brain isn’t very good, and when things get too complex, my brain quits working. I will do my best to post with style, and manage with my weak brain. Thank you for the advise.

It is really important to me to achieve that style, so please feel free to advise me, as I am in the learning process.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much.
