predictions for 2021

Uh, define ā€œsoonā€?

Would you like me to define chickenshit?

Well, among other things, itā€™s a Joker who doesnā€™t walk the talk.

In not going here, for example:

You know Biggie, I would really like to know the economist youā€™re reading that says the DOW is going to hit 50,000

Please provide a link. :sunglasses:

bet on it

Todayā€™s words are, irrational economic exuberance. Sure, weā€™ll see whoā€™s right on that bet. :sunglasses:

Yup, I agree.
Joe, along with most republicrats, was always a shill for the crony capitalist establishment, but these days, the establishment are moving us from softcore tyranny to hard, but with an old, familiar face, to disarm us.
For better and worse, the normal we had post-WW2 is dead, itā€™s dead because it grew unsustainably corrupt, now itā€™s just a question of which new normal weā€™re going to get, either something like MAGA, or agenda 2030/build back better/the great reset, or something else, another ideology, or perhaps the complete destruction of the US, and the western world altogether, maybe even civilization as we know it.
Of course the left wants to make it like itā€™s just one man, just Trump, but a majority of republicans, both laymen and politicians alike now believe the election was stolen from them, and they donā€™t want to live in this new normal the globalists are building.
This conflict isnā€™t going away, whether Trump ultimately peacefully leaves the Whitehouse or not.
The details Iā€™m less sure of.

Such interesting and fun times we live in. :sunglasses:

Yea, I mean what does the left think, that Trumpers are just going to fade away when Trump leaves office, presuming there isnā€™t a terrorist attack or something and he doesnā€™t declare martial law?
Theyā€™re not going anywhere.
They want secure borders, national sovereignty, free speech, guns, religion, free markets (barring some protectionism) and these days, more social freedom than the left want, they donā€™t want contact tracing, lockdowns, mandatory masks, vaxxes, social distancing and social credit scores, they donā€™t want a green new deal, identity politics, a welfare state and so on.
Remember this graph:

https://difficultrun.nathanielgivens.com/2017/10/07/pew-research-growing-political-divide/

Can you imagine how much further the divide has grown, after covid, the Marxist Antifa and BLM riots and the contentious election?
Thereā€™s absolutely no way we can continue on this path and remain together, somethingā€™s gotta give.

And itā€™s not just the US, altho Canada and Australia have yet to experience these kinds of divisions, Brexit has partly torn Britain, and the EU apart, Bolsonaro and Salvini partly tore Brazil and Italy apart respectively.

The old crony capitalist order is dead.
In the mid-late 10s, there was a quasi-national populist revolution on the right, altho it failed to achieve many of its promises, nonetheless it did succeed in making some changes, and now with the advent of covid, the race riots and contentious election, thereā€™s been this Agenda 2030/BBB/Great Reset revolution on the left.
Weā€™re in a new era now, many of us just donā€™t realize it yet.
The old way of doing politics is gone, and itā€™s showing no signs of coming back.
As corrupt as it was, there was some harmony between left and right, some consensus about who we were and where we were headed as a society.
That consensus is gone, massive corruption on both sides of the isle, and massive disparities in both wealth, and ethnicity, with all this mass immigration, and culture have all incrementally lead to its erosion.
We live in a fractured, fragmented, schizo-society, with two or more opposing and competing identities.
Democracy cannot survive this kind of cultural, and fiscal schizophrenia, at least not long term, only a strongman could keep this thing together.

dont believe the statistics and research, they are more divided as more superficial ideological issues arise but on the essential issues(and I mean action not declarative statements of propaganda for fat Yanks) they have been constantly merging since 1970s. as an illustrative example take obama and trumpā€¦are they radically different or actually the same thing???on superficial issues they are different but when you look beneathā€¦obama was the glue for negros, trump for the filleted working class whitesā€¦both completely unqualified and perfect puppetsā€¦look furtherā€¦is obamas ā€˜coolnessā€™ in political affairs and his bowing down to Chinese really that different to trumps empty aggression??? the Chinese are laughing at any sanctions and flying around themā€¦so its irrelevantā€¦iran actually does get slightly more bullied but stillā€¦ obama was sophisticated as a pretence, the twitter hitler is loud as a pretence but they are both narcissistic clowns with no position and mega hypocritical charlatans with no dignityā€¦ what you think?

I predict that within the next twelve months there will be less places on the internet to freely express yourself that goes against the prevailing political public narrative, ironically, ILP and KTF might be the last places to do so until they eventually sack these places as well. :sunglasses:

I also predict the complete dissolving of the republican political party where some other kind of underground political resistance will take its place, I just donā€™t see the republican party surviving intact after all of this.

Yes, extreme political polarization is the future of the west, there is no future for centrism, I imagine centrists drinking themselves to death in a drunken stupor at this point if they havenā€™t already committed suicide.

K: as you have been completely wrong so far in your predictions, I have no faith in
any predictions you might have nowā€¦

Kropotkin

Yeah, Iā€™ve only been predicting the collapse of the United States and global chaos since 2008, itā€™s like Iā€™ve never predicted anything at all remotely accurate. Everything is great and fine in the United States currently, am I right? So very wonderful. :sunglasses:

K: now that we will have a competent and intelligent and a president who
actually cares, yes, America will be fineā€¦ the trick was to get rid of the
insurrectionist in chiefā€¦ it will take a long time to repair the damage
caused by the village idiot, but it will be repaired and America will take
it place in civilized societyā€¦ we will be welcomed back into the worldā€¦
and the chaos you so love because you hate yourself, it might take some time,
but it too will be goneā€¦ you have lostā€¦ kinda like IQ45ā€¦ defeated
handily by people who actually care about somethingā€¦ unlike youā€¦

Kropotkin

gloominary over her using phrases like ā€œshill for the corporateā€¦ā€

bruh just put money in your 401k and stop complaining. everything dies. none of this matters. u gonna eat when youre old or not?

If you think the chaos, mayhem, and dissolution of the United States ends with Joe Biden I would say that is the most hilarious or ridiculous thing Iā€™ve heard all night. :sunglasses:

I wish that I could see your sad pouting disappointed face Peter of the future you, it would tickle and delight my dark empty soul.

The sadness, anguish, misery, and shock in your face would be priceless for me.

Even more, I wish that I could have a philosophical dialogue with you once you lose it all, thrown onto those cold streets that I know all too well shouting your anger at the heavens alone, but nobody hears or listens to you and nobody cares. I would wonder what you would be thinking then, that everything you believed in was a lie, that your entire life you were a fraud where youā€™re entire life was one big giant lie. What would you be thinking then? I like contemplating what that would be. I would love to stand in front of you then pointing at you and laughing, that would be very pleasing for me.

Same, nowā€™s the time to backup our work here.

Hopefully truly populist parties form in the US and Canada within the coming years.
Parties thatā€™re center-left economically, but center-right socially.
And hopefully they get a lot of support.
Such parties canā€™t take kinetic paramilitary action off the table.
Through their proxies Antifa/BLM, republicrats have shown us theyā€™re not above terrorizing the people.
We should not be above terrorizing them.

The new political paradigm is populism vs elitism, by and large republicrats in the US, and libcons in Canada, are fake populists.
Theyā€™re both nearly 100% bought and paid for by the banksters, globalists and multinationals.
They must be abandoned in droves.
But if the masses are too apathetic and brainwashed to support populists, and/or the elections are too rigged, it may become necessary to stage coups.

Gloominary 2024!

The decline of American democracy(or as founding fathers specified republicanism) means a decline for a global democracy. There are two democracies possible for a modern world: a ā€˜liberal democracyā€™ and a ā€˜republican democracyā€™; the essential difference found in the relation of its voters to each-other and the state. In liberal democracy that superseded the republican in America post 1970 definitely but started accelerating around 1910s, the citizens are an anonymous mass bind to each-other by their primitive and short-sighted, individualistic interests, only they, themselves, nihilistically define and the state has responsibilities towards to its citizenry for being kept in power which amounts to bureaucracy ā€˜looking after peopleā€™ whilst nothing is demanded from citizenry; a democracy of bribes and decline of communal spirit encapsulated in a spirit of any volunteers. In republican democracy, the state and its officials are strong but only strong in areas needed to protect citizenry form internal/external threats whilst all other matters are left to a democratic initiative of the people and people, through the state, demand of other people in a republic to be a part of it and punish, again through the state, those who donā€™t. This definition does not exclude charityā€¦or other socialist causesā€¦it simply means an initiative for such socialist causes must spring from people.

Liberal and republican are purely figurativeā€¦I am a Marxist, republican-democrat and a half-Roman Catholic myself but a republican democrat could be a liberalā€¦depends what kind of liberal, thatā€™s allā€¦

An appealing projection is that absolutely nothing will happen, nothing will stop the usual progression of ever newer norms which Madison avenue can produce.

The reasons are foundamentally deconstructive, progressively accelerated toward the vanishing
point of greater generalized recurrent political motives, which no one understands anyway.

The policing will certainly be simplified by simulated androgynous cyber cops, and the principles of accumulation will be checked by self managed programs of internally correction.

Welcome back to the forum Trixie.
