Nobody is saying Maduro is a good guy or that Venezuela isn’t fucked up in many ways. But you could also make a list of fucked up things about the US and show that Trump is not a good guy either, would that give China or Russia or someone else the right to kidnap Trump and his wife?
You are not seeing the precedent this sets. Now any country that can accuse another country’s leader of crimes and corruption has a perfect justification to militarily invade and kidnap their leader. The only standard is “am I able to do it” and “can I accuse the other leader of being bad”. That is not adhering to principles or standards of the rule of law and national sovereignty. Nor is it following what is written in the US constitution, which Trump happily shreds all the time. Congress is supposed to declare war. Trump just committed an act of war against Venezuela. No Congressional declaration of war.
To me, MAGA seems like a mental disease of “Trump can do no wrong” therefore thinking shuts down any time someone criticizes something he does. The other side of this is cognitive dissonance, like you demonstrate by making a list of supposedly bad things about Venezuela as if that somehow justifies what Trump did. It does not.
