Promises

If one is going to write a book on judgment, what better way to do it than by demonstrating it in a way that demonstrates the purpose of the human mind itself? “To regulate behavior so as to turn the past into the future and to bring the future to pass.”

One of the unique things about the Judeo-Christian Scripture is that it is a record of a number of promises. Now these promises were made thousands of years ago and they involve the text itself and also certain book-marks in history.

One thing promised was the return of Lucid Dreaming. Done. It is a learning environment.
Another thing it promises, is a new language that has something to do with “stammering”, actually a repetition. Done, it is a Universal language that demonstrates Truth. Work posted under johnclark8659 on the Internet Archive and Philosopher8659 on Youtube.

Another thing is that the Scripture is sealed to man’s understanding, but that the seals would be loosened. Done. See above.

Throughout the world, a change is to be noted, it is a psychological change in man-kind.

The significance of a promise made and a promise kept is psychological. It denotes life–a particular kind of life, life of the mind. It is one of the ways one can tell if a text is true or not. What is written within comes to pass. That is the function of mind itself.

It was also said that these things would happen at a critical time in man’s development. Mankind really does need to change its ways.

Now, I have a lot more work to do, and if I ask for a help-mate on a dating site, I am more likely to get kicked off and posts removed because Lewd behavior is tolerated-encouraged, however, constructive relationships that involve work may not be–it just scares the children. The truth shall be cast to the ground. What this means is that man does not yet know the foundation of language. It will be taught and learned. A way to test one’s word. It really is not that difficult.

The depth of any mind is proportional to the length of time it can plan and execute those plans for the maintenance and promotion of life.

Egocentric is when one believes that they are the center of the universe, it is time to realize we have a job to do, to move from egocentricity to the service of our craft. Moving from egocentricity is not an easy thing to do. It will take time. Almost every, if not every, forum board in the internet is moderated to protect the ego at the expense of truth.

Not sure where this thread is headed. In the meantime please document in the scripture the promises you claim … like lucid dreaming … book, chapter, and verse … and when the promise of lucid dreaming was accomplished.

We’re not gonna just take your word for it …

If you don’t know where it is, obviously you have either not studied it, or you have a bad memory. In either case, don’t ask me to do your work.

It’s not my work. I’m not claiming any promises, you are. So either document/reference your claims or not. Then I’ll determine if you are worth paying attention to or not.

Well, if knowing Scripture is not your work, what the heck are you jabbering about when someone mentions it for?

I remember a passage, “seek and you shall find” I never read anything to the order of, hold your pants on, wait right there, and I will serve you tea. How egocentric can someone be? I have demonstrated enough on the net to keep you busy for years, and you are still whinning. Grow up.

You have not read the scripture, you have not studied reasoning, you have not learned in the lucid dreamstate, you have not learned the principles of grammar,

and yet, you want me to tell you how to understand metaphor? How simple can one get? You want to eat, then I suggest you start working for it.

Well alrighty then. And don’t forget, when you point at an egocentric, there’s three fingers pointing back at you.

Well, you are probably young and will eventually improve on understanding if you work on it. And yes, the transition in mankind includes me too. I never said it didn’t.

One thing is certain, as promised, the end of the Christian era. In case you want to learn why it appears to be 1,000 years late, you forgot to figure in that it would be doubled. “turn the other cheek.”

I’m an old fart that’s been working on it all my life.

Then we’re brothers in the human condition. Sorry I’m not as smart as you.

Please forgive this ignoramus. I do agree that Christianity is likely headed for the dustbin of history, like the Greek pantheon. But I’m completely unaware of such a promise/s.

Wherever do you come up with these promises? Humor me. I don’t even know where to begin a research in the matter of promises. But you claim to know of them. Surely it can’t be much trouble for you to provide references to these promises. Pleeeeeease… pretty please.

Surely you want to help the ignorant.

The references are in scripture, and have been debated a long time because it appeared not to happen. What is not known, is that there are references also in the OT.

At any rate, if the scripture is important to one, then one does as advised in the text. Learn judgment, how to reason, and it is always a good thing to learn a long time in the lucid dream-state. “Dark Sentenec” “dark sayings” is metaphor. Metaphor teaches one how to see the common idea in the many examples, i.e. it is used to teach judgment. It is also what Plato called the similie in multis.

If you desire a few minor examples of it, Language and Experiences.

I do desire. Googled Language and Experiences only to find 2.3 million hits. So Languages and Experience by whom?

Listen Philosopher8659, you started this Promises thread. So waxing Gnostic with a hidden secret gnosis on Promises isn’t going to do much for your thread.

If you’re pushing mystery you’re doing very well.

Language and Experience by me, the little button next to my sn.

I’m still trying to figure out the point to this thread…?
I have to go along with V in saying that more detail really needs to be presented even if not Scriptures, at least a specific example so as to illustrate the aim.

I listened to the “Language and Experience” emm… “thing”, and heard nothing of which to object other than finding no point in its saying.

Well the ball is in Clark’s court. It’s his thread, and it is he that has to develop the theme of promises.

I listened to L & E too. The computer voice was annoying and became a drone on the ears, but it was okay. The pdf of of L & E contained not even the word promise. The article was okay, but I felt as far as “Promises” was concerned that, I had been sent on a wild goose chase.

The ball has been in your court, you still have not noticed it.
Isaiah 55:11
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”

That is just one place. And, if you can do more than bitch, you can find many more examples by studying the text.

And try this.
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

Now, the Scripture is sealed until the Second Coming, which means, that person knows metaphor, see if you can connect the dots.

Both passages refer to the same event.

Different places, different times, different authors, but same metaphorical content. Humm.

Now I have demonstrated. I will not continue doing your work.

So you’re basing yer promise premises on Bible platitudes?

And don’t answer with aspersions about my lack of understanding everything …
