I think you misunderstand the situation we have here… We have one president for over three hundred million people… We do not get much of a choice to begin with, and my bet is that if anyone were to try to shake hands with that many people they would run out time, or hands before making much progress… We get a choice of personalities which are presented to us whole… Where we might have some knowledge of our representatives we are denied that by a choice the government… We might have one representative in the house if the language of the constitution had not been contrived as a loophole… There is a big difference between representing 30,000, and representing over 600,000; especially when districts are drawn to deny the maximum possible number the representative of their choice… To me that is good sign that we could double the number of representatives without trouble… The reason given for limiting the number of representatives was to make the house manageable… Is that really a worthy goal; to Make the House manageable??? I don’t care if you think you are a republican or a democrat, but there is no good ever to come out of not representing people in this land…If you have something to say, you need a voice in government, and I think we have pushed managed government as far as we can… Think of the royal power of the president…Think of the clearly undemocratic power of the Courts and the Senate… The people have no clear control over their government like they began with in this country… You think of the thousands of representatives we might have… They could have the rest of the government eating out of their hands if they still followed the constitution… And what representative could get away with not doing the will of a small district??? And, it is not a matter of winning or losing on a particular vote, but having a seat at the table always, having a chance to argue for those who have elected you… Fewer representatives equal fewer brains…Fewer representatives means their price is higher than the value of their virtue… If the Greeks in their highest body, their Supreme Court had a representation of one to two hundred and fifty to make bribery too expensive, we should consider that value as desirable in our government… What we have is not working, and what we have has been sanctioned by the Supreme Court… As difficult as it may seem, all we need to have a change is for the House to change its rules… And yet, who willingly votes to give up power??? The fact is, that while having fewer representatives raises their price, it lowers their power in relation to the rest of the government because when they leave divided districts behind them they lose any moral authority they might have with 95% support behind them… The government has got to follow the people… Government elected from divided districts are covered no matter what they choose to do… They are free and we are not…Government should lead us into unity, and instead has led us into division, and it has been on purpose, to deny our control over our own destiny… The effects following this cause are before our eyes…We would not have voted for the war in Iraq, for free trade, or this depression…We got them because we could not prevent them…

People in this country have become what people in the South always were: the kind who vote against what they hate for having nothing that they like… I am certain that many voted for Mr.Obama knowing full well what they were voting against… It is always easier to organize people against what they hate than for what they love…The fact is; there is little enough to love, and plenty to hate and fear in this country…

I am certain most people would; but we don’t have democracy so we do not have a constructive means of pursueing positive values… We don’t get what we want from government but we do get a belly full of frustration… So, people use their vote to avoid what they hate, what they fear, and even though they can be motivated in that fashion, and tied in a knot, kept in the past, and driven into an early grave, still, the old dinner bell is rung and saliva runs all over their shirts… People are so busy living their lives that they cannot get one step away from them without fearing their lives will go to hell on them…They cannot be abstract…All they can do is react…

People demand their rights because ultimately rights are essential to life and well being… You see what is happening with our economy… If you think the loss of wealth and property, jobs and opportunity is not accompanied by a loss of rights, even caused by a loss of rights then you are thick…

Exactly. Rights are all about expanding capitalism and creating wealth, they’re all about doing business.
Women were given rights because businessmen saw the vast opportunities for creating more wealth when they were given the freedom to consume more.
Rights feed the animal inside us. The more we feed the more profit is made.
Rights are no different to a farmer giving his cattle a hormone to stimulate the appetites. When other people see how fat and well fed Westerners are they demand these same hormones.
People want what we got in America only because they see us on tv…If they came here they would realize how empty this place is…It is like some ball room ball all glittery on the outside and hollow within… Surely we used to be mercontilist, and buy raw materials to make into exports… Now we have had the wealth sucked out of us by people building international capitalism… One of the reasons we have had it good is that we were feeding on the world… Now that we have to live within our own means when we have no means, when all the property worth having is in the hands of the rich; we are left with no alternative but to change our form of relationship or starve on the streets…
You may think that the form of relationship between slave and master was not much… The relationship between a dog and a master is not much… If the man eats the dog there is no relationship, and so, to me while there is a relationship there is hope…But slavery most certainly killed people… LIke all farming operations it was the victim of finance and middle men… When blacks were shipped down the river to the gulf states it was a death sentence… It was not as bad as working sugar plantations in South America but that slave in the South had a ten year life span…So; not much of a relationship, but a relationship… What you must understand is that when humanity has progressed it has progressed because their relationships were not much; and so they changed the forms through which they related…Moving from monarchy to a republic is a change of forms…Jefferson talks about forms in the declaration of independence, and what he does not say is that all forms are forms of relationship… It is the only way humanity has to progress…We cannot change our basic needs…We can only change our forms to better supply our needs…
In many respects both women and children lost rights when women entered the work force… Men certainly lost rights because before, it was considered that a man’s wages needed to support a family… As soon as some women began to work, all women suddenly were required to work or suffer poverty to do an essential job in society, of raising children…It is wrong to believe industry does not need to be governed, since industry ungoverned will govern us…

Well da…But the rich have a plan… They think they can turn us all into third worlders, control all the resources, control all the governments, and gradually rub each other down to the nub until only a class of kings and a class of slaves remain…And I think the plan is going good for them; but it is hard when things fall to pieces too fast… It is much better if they get us use to having less every day until we find we have nothing… If they bring us down to nothing too quickly and we still have some moral strength we can revolt… Without moral strength, demoralized, we are slaves…
Most people are idiots. Also your statistics do not accurately co-inside with your statement that most people were duped in anyway. I expect allot of people didn’t care about his policies. There are any number of reasons why someone would get voted in eg:
They do not like the other guys policies
They always vote for a particular party
The colour of his skin
etc.
