All very nice and wrap up the whole thing in a few quick sentences. But what’s odd here…well, for starters, there’s their names. These names sound like concepts from his book. Global Man…Atomic…Solaris…and Claudine quotes her name the same way the global man does. Did you pull a ladyjane, s.w.? Or did you get your family to write reviews on you?
I also thought it was a bit strange that none of these ‘people’ have written reviews anywhere else. That seems odd considering that when we take another philosophy book written by the first person s.w. quotes in his book, Aristotle, we get ten reviewers and nine of those have written multiple reviews:
Now don’t be too hard on yourself, s.w. Promoting is a hard thing. I guess after two years and only about 41 confirmed readers on your website (three of which are of the Pringle surname) you had to do something. Hence why you’re here. Your website looks to be a failure; your blog has about as much activity as my sock drawer.
And here’s the most curious thing of all: I can’t find anything else on S.W. Pringle, the supposed author. Not one. If you’re really a famous documentarian, I should be able to find something…producers credits or something…but nothing comes up. Unless one or other of your names is a pseudonym, we can’t believe anything your biography says because we don’t have any independent sources confirming it.
So how about it, magnetman? Where’s the proof that you actually are this world-reknowned documentary maker?
Initially I placed this thread in Quarantine to give MagnetMan a chance to respond to these claims as opposed to having them stand unanswered for a time, which I felt veered close to libel. MagnetMan’s response is as follows:
No. You definitely want everyone to know the content of your book; you state the profusely. Also, if you want
then you would distribure your work to anyone who asks. You would put all the content up online or offer your book for free. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to make a buck off your ideas, but pretending that you don’t is just a lie.
Speaking of lies…
If you cannot show me your name on some credits somewhere, I don’t believe you are a producer of famous documentaries. If you can, great! I’d be happy. So what movie do I have to view to see S.W. Pringle attached to it?
Everyone is entitled to have their own views. If they were not allowed to have it we would still think the world is flat. Magnetman’s book is his research, right or wrong it does not matter. None of us are right all the time. If his views and thoughts help someone then great if it is just junk then it cannot harm. Either way at least he put forth an effort to create something and share it, which I applaud.
Well, he claims to have what is the equivalent of a PhD in the ‘field’. If he has done nothing that he says he has, he’s a liar, and that does matter in the context of what he’s trying to say.
He’s trying to create a cult. From his ‘Global Stewardship Foundation’ website:
I hope you can see the inherent cultness of this ‘mission’. And, cults are bad, m’kay?
Damn, Our Gov’ts are cultists! Our schools are cultists, TV stations are cultists! Supermarkets , malls, religions, politics Highways, street signs!!! OMG we are surrounded by horrific Cults! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, Run, they are everywhere! Save yourself from the culties!
Sorry, This rant was brought to you by a non cultist cultist cultilizer cultilizing you to cults. Have a good day and don’t forget to check under your bed.
Sorry, Xunzian. This section just happens to be where the thread is because he chose to post his stuff in the religion section first, and because he suggests his theory is a religion.
And I’m not trying to bait with this post, I was wondering what happened to our dear potato chip, so I did another little bit of research to see if he’d gone to another philosophy forum or something like that, but instead I found this:
That was over a year ago. I wonder, to how many sites has he gone trying to garner support and failed?
He still has not given proof of his ‘credentials’. I hope anyone who reads his stuff has the sense to look into such things.
