Isn’t quantum physics fantastic? I have yet to delve into the Elegant universe by Brian Greene but I really want to.
Light has the properties of both a wave and an atom. In an experiment it actually demonstrates that it"knows" when its being watched and changes its properties!
Does anyone have any comments about quantum physics or has studied it intensely?
Yo, fascinating stuff - “The “central mystery” of quantum physics just got more mysterious. Experimenters from the United States and Austria have got together to provide a new demonstration of how light going through a “double slit” experiment seems to know before it sets out in its journey exactly what kind of traps have been set for it along the way”lifesci.sussex.ac.uk/home/Jo … uantum.htm
Personally I’d guess time is involved somewhere and may even be running backwards, that’d explain why light knows what’s ahead because its already been there ?
I love this field two, maybe cause I am young and have not learn any Newton or Einstein yet. But don’t count me out, I am well read.
I like the mathematical part of it, were will the electron be after 3 seconds sort of thing. It is weird how electrons go every were at once, and kinda spooky, not saying electrons are perverts or anything…
But I hope one day I can do experiments like the ones metioned above, however even now I have an ever-growing “Einstein Preduace” (leaning torwad the Ideas of Enstine when looking for explanation).
The other part I like about this is the complete absurdity of it all, like Willy Wonka and his factory, except it is the world we live in.
