Why was the "Ex-Christianity"thread on the Religion board locked? I understand that the topic has been broached in the past, but how is that criteria for locking a thread?
I suspect because of this sentence in particular: “Christians are weak-minded fools and need to become either thrown out entirely, or ‘remodeled’ into something new.”
It was locked because it was absolutely nothing but a flaming spit that violated the basic ethics of the Religion forum.
My guess is that Sauwelios’ religious-sensibilities were offended and complained.

No one complained. There are rules. I abide by those proactively; not only when people complain.

Monooq, I’m starting to think your only reason for staying here is to bitch and moan about your problems with the mods. While I can’t say the moderators are perfect or 100% “fair” (whatever the hell that means), the general consensus around here is that they do a pretty damn good job, and really, if you don’t like it, there are other forums more suited to your wants and needs. Why don’t you go find one of them?

Gobbo, I fail to see where the hordes of mod-haters are on ILP. You may be dissatisfied with the moderation here, in which case I’d suggest the same thing to you as I did to Monooq. There are millions of forums out there, I’m sure you could find one that suits you. I think you’re a valuable contributor here and I enjoy reading many of the things you write, but if dealing with the powers that be bothers you that much I really think you should consider why you’re compelled to be here.
I’ve certainly had my scuffles with a mod or two. I don’t always agree with them and I don’t necessarily care for all of them, as I think I’ve made perfectly clear, but if I’m allowed to snap out the way that I have and not be afraid of irrational reprisal, considering how violent some of my hissy-fits can be, I think it’s safe to assume that anyone bitching about unfair moderation or being targeted is probably just a fucking whiner.
Faust, you have over 14,000 posts, and you’d be hard pressed to find me any two substantive ones that were consistent.
You take a step dangerously close to looking stupid when you assume that just because I don’t comment on a certain board, I don’t pay any attention to it.
I think G was saying that the moderation is fair—fairly consistent in being a tad ridiculous. And what’s with all your swearing? Does sucking up get you a pass on that?
They’re just words. I’ve never seen anyone here be reprimanded for the words they use, just for the way those words are employed.
