QUESTIONS

I’ve tried to wait upon you Lord.
Have I soared on those eagle wings?
I’ve worked, I did not sit and wait,
With faith toward those unseen things.
I hope and pray with all my might
My faith will soon be justified.
But there’s such fear I’ve been a fool.
I do not know. Should I have tried?
I could have gone another way.
There are so many paths of dirt,
Each with their guards and signs and lights.
Why risk a crash, my being hurt?
I sense that life could be much more
Than conflict, hunger, fear and hate.
There could be peace, courage and love.
But should I care we’re in this state?
I seem here with these thoughts alone.
So should I be where others plod?
What is the reason I am here?
Am I a fool? Are you there God?

Forgive me DEB but “Are you there God” How can you not know?

A

You could turn on yourself, then feel pain. You could turn on God. Hurting yourself is more real then an assault upon God, it is something that you can feel, thus you claim YOU – not the universe – is incorrect.

A part of the universe says to itself: “I am wrong.”
Whilst other parts say to themselves: “I am right.”
But most parts say nothing at all.

Welcome to the autocratic vastness of nature.
The most vast and beautiful things – are actually more “meaningless” then the small and ugly things.

We cannot expect what is not human – to be human.
We cannot expect what is dead – to be alive.

Why?
Reality vs Idealism.
Fact vs Desire.
The living domination of inanimate matter has its wings clipped. It spends its days consuming itself and getting nowhere fast.

But you hurt your own heart when you expect to be loved. “God” doesn’t give a damn about anything!

~

Humans are born between humans. They expect all to be human. They slowly mature and die as they are forced to realize that the universe is not their home, does not love or preserve them, and they return to the inanimate, imperfect, composite mass of autocracy & meaninglessness from which they came.

Taste the poison of materialist objectivism!

'A part of the universe says to itself: “I am wrong.”
Whilst other parts say to themselves: “I am right.”
But most parts say nothing at all. ’

Brillant!

You sure can dance with ideas Dan! Keep it up.

My philosophical “QUESTIONS” remain.

You’re a religious man DEB. How is it that you cannot know if God exists and still practice your religion?

A

Most people in the world are practise some religion, without complete curtainty of gods existence. Agnostism, I believe it’s called.

Here in Finland most people are lutherians, and most of them don’t give a shit is there a god or not. And most of them don’t believe.
(Or they only “believe” when IN the church. Outside they just believe in science, or common sence.)

LA, I am not a “religious” man in the accepted sense of that word. I do not “practice” a religion. I try to live life. Like you said, “I’m just a seed trying to find the courage to grow into a flower”. Or perhaps at my age I am a flower or more likely a weed wondering why.

Surunmurhaaja, yours are universally valid observations.
