I was looking up the origin of the word fuck and despite a host of myths surrounding its origin I think the most likely explanation is a translation of German or Anglo Saxon, a closely related dialect infers the use of it as a slang version of the verb to plow. Hence I plowed her fields, I fucked her vaginal region. To put it crudely. Cunt on the other hand is easier to find, it just means what it says. And the slang use to denote the derogatory seems fairly understandable. You can be dick or a cunt, or a tool and so on.

Interesting I have other sources, I went a little further than wiki to the root of what you said, but you are right about cunt I think- I mean as in used as an insult. The valley thing seems pretty airtight though, well as airtight as it gets.
