hi there, I need your help,
I´m doing a research paper, the topic is PASSION, REASON, SEX AND LOVE. there should be something about sexual revolution, changing the roles of men and women, and also if the wisdom of Socrates, Plato, or Aristotle is still valid, something about the morality of St. Augustine. St. Thomas Aquinas etc.
Please be so kind and help with this
Thank´s so much,

Plato talks about the community of women somewhere which might interest you.
Yep. The wisdom of the ancients is even more valid today than ever before. Without those Greeks… well, the mind boggles!
As for St Augustine: personally, I’d avoid City of God like the plague!
The philosopher Michel Foucault wrote a history of sexuality that you might find interesting. The Greek lyrical poet sappho might be handy for an early alternative view but only fragments remain and i haven’t read her. Aquinas’ On the truth of the catholic faith and Augustine’s Of holy virginity and On marriage and concupiscence should help. Friedrich Engels wrote a book which i have read called The origin of the family, Private property, and the state which should shed some light on early gender roles.
