Ressurecting Misotheism

I am pretty sure there is no such thing as a god which is why I am an atheist however let us assume there is a god for a moment, why praise that which has created so much suffering in the world with zero positive intervention to save it?

If god does exist I see no logical or rational response but to hate and despise such a being. Such a being would have to be a sadist in the current design and structure of our existence.

Also, I believe in the concept that men can become gods by their actions in history thereby becoming immortalized. better to be your own god.

Any takers?

But I don’t like hate …

To hate is a perfectly human trait. Embrace your innner hate.

Nothing more natural to hate to those who hate you and to hate those who wish to either destroy or enslave you.

To wish for their demise is also perfectly natural.

Psalms 143:12
And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.

There’s that loving god we all hear about. God loves humanity so much that is why he abandoned it to its doom.

The creators of the earth are crazy assholes, but that doesn’t mean there is no good gods.

If such a god existed it isn’t worth worship, but very much deserves our hate. We should therefore become gods ourselves and live in such a way to mock it every chance we get.

If human beings are sinful or are corrupt it is because god made things as such and refuses to intervene. Maybe this god likes watching things as they are.

You assume that suffering is in the nature of things when it may well have much more to do with the way one views things and so, be within our power to control. Your picture of the world is biased in that it denies the enjoyment of life which is just as evident as the suffering of it. You contradict your own thesis when you admit that people have the potential to become gods themselves which you view as a worthwhile endeavor. So, there is no need for god to intervene according to your own thesis. We have the power to to achieve a worthwhile goal ourselves. It’s good to be a god. So, given the way you have presented it, it’s not fair or reasonable to hate a God who made it all possible.

It’s way more fulfilling to do BOTH at the same time.

Gen 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Ty, I’m not religious. But if that’s the only way you can understand religion, then you have a very limited scope of understanding. I would suggest reading shit that you don’t already agree with. It might help a bit. You should be able to entertain all points of view, not just recite old tired cliches. I laugh when someone proclaims that they are a christian, as well as when they do that they are an atheist. Why you trying to shove religion, or non religion down people’s throats?

Besides, I don’t have time to hate God. Why should I bother?

There is great enjoyment in this world, but only when you conquer, exploit, and take it from others. That is the nature of this world. I don’t deny pleasure.

I very much embrace all the pleasures, distractions, and flesh that this world has to offer.

I hate god because in his or its portrayal, it always tries to control everybody. The godhood I seek it would try to deny me and others like me.

I like godhood, but only when I am at the seat of it. I like authority, but only when I am its author. I like power, but only when I am wielding it or with others who wield it similarly in mutual benefit.

I hate that which tries to control me.Defiance is my salvation. War, competition, and conquest my religion. Victory my temple. Power is my god.

Human beings are quick to form opinions about ultimates and gods. This is part of the hubris of mankind.

So, he seeked out to floodeth the earth and kill all the inhabitants except for the sheepish few who would bow or grovel at his feet like the slaves that they were. (Still are.)

Ever read the ancient agnostic texts? I particularly find their concept of the Demuirge fascinating in relation to the Abrahamic god.

I honestly don’t care what others believe. I am merely explaining a view point to those that will listen to it.

Still one has to be fascinated that an all powerful god would not stop universal suffering or even intervene upon it for all the infinite compassion it supposedly posseses.

Why is this god worth worship instead of scorn or hate? This is why I have basically come to the conclusion of hating all theistic religions no matter what culture or tradition it originates from. It perpetuates a slavish mentality something of which I despise.

I’d rather use somebody’s sense of sacred or sanctity as my foot stool.

I’m listening. Hate doesn’t seem to be a good idea to me.

Hate is a great survival mechanism and integral part of motivation.

Everybody needs an advesary.
