Personally, I don’t see what the fuss is a bout, he would have commited suicide anyway, it’s not like the State actually killed him, he killed himself. I mean, liberals are trying to ban our guns because they can potentially be used to suicide with, don’t think like a liberal, don’t ban consensual suicide, it’s the same as trying to ban guns or spending tax money to put excessive guardrails everywhere.

If I had to guess, because the euthanasia was cheaper and easier and he was depressed. What nobody seems to talk about (well, I wrote a paper on it, but nobody ELSE) is that once death is offered by an institution as a product and made comfortable and acceptable, every alternative has to be weighed against it. There’s no such thing as a gold standard of “Being in so much pain you would kill yourself”. That amount of pain is one thing if you have to do it yourself by hooking your toe into the trigger of a shotgun, but it’s an altogether different thing if you get to do it in a bed surrounded by people telling you you’re doing the right thing, with amazing drugs and music and perhaps an ideology telling you things are only gonna get better if you pass.
