Reverse

If a same mind, versed in one poem
Came.
Would it bring trust for love?
Would it bring love for dust ?

If three words set in two, had to complain
Still about pains.
Would it spring language?
Would it grin at your image?

If in these poems heads, two blessed with earth
Against came.
Would they hold down their hands, and claim
an end instead of one poem?

No.

Then reverse forever
The lines of that earth
You had to see,
Since you came to birth.

And you might say:
“life is worth the while of thirst”

And she might say:
“three words sufficed the language”

And you might say:
“Listen, the while is worth that birth”

And she might ask:
“I hadnt thought eyes could dry my image
Could they be rough enough for iron age?”

And you might answer:
“listen, i’ll disgust these lids to water earth
each time for us to be the pleasure of their dust”

And poems taught cheeks upon a while to flush
And poems turned tears how not to measure to dust

Moral:
If three words made up
one verse,
take three lines to turn up
your earth
And reverse your pain in a same
poem.

One day has been for now said,
My sun is worth your while
For thirst.
