The equal protection clause is about applying what laws there are - equally. If there is a law about something - apply that law - as it is stated - to everyone. And if there is no law concerning an issue - don’t try to apply a law concerning that issue to anyone.
Equal application of laws is not the same at all as equal outcome, virtue, or justice.
The US Constitution is “all about” people of a nation not being dominated by a single party or person who might acquire extraordinary influence over others. It is about NOT being a dictatorship, socialist, or communist – giving above-government rights to citizens.
And that is why the 1st and 2nd amendments were 1st and 2nd.

Conservative are, and always have been the minority. But US democracy is broken. When Trump won he got 3 million fewer votes that Clinton, yet he got to fill the Supreme Court with fascists. Against Biden he got 6 million fewer but that was not enough for the bigfatorange baby man to accept.
The high court decision is unpopular, and they represent an oligarchic minority of religious nut jobs.
