Romance/Love Songs

So messed up I want you here
In my room I want you here

Now we’re gonna be face-to-face
And I’ll lay right down in my favorite place

b[/b]
And now I wanna be your dog
Now I wanna be your dog
Now I wanna be your dog
Well cmon

Now I’m ready to close my eyes
And now I’m ready to close my mind

And now I’m ready to feel your hand
And lose my heart on the burning sands

And now I wanna be your dog
And now I wenna be your dog
Now I wanna be your dog
Well cmon

by rhe Detroit proto-punk pioneer James Osterberg/Iggy Pop

One of my favorite old-school rap/hip-hop songs by one of my favorite little-remembered artists of that genre and era.

Those are cool lyrics, lhw. I’ve never heard of the artists. :astonished:

-Todd Rundgren

(The melody is so sweet)

To get a visual reference, Silent Soliloquy --sounds like Queensryche’s “Silent Lucidity”–, for one of the artists I selected for this thread, look at my new avatar and you will see Iggy Pop 9real name: James Osterberg) At 50+, this guy still rocks full-on better than most of today’s so-called “punk” rockers that are two generations his junior. You cannot have punk without Iggy (and the Stooges) as well as Detroit’s either pivotal band, MC-5. Metal also owes a debt of gratitude to these pioneers of both these hard rock genres.

Have you ever heard singing this close to you before?

Isn’t his voice beautiful?

ROFL…

My friend walks in while the song is playing and says “This is hobbit music! I ain’t in the damn Shire!”

Then he started ad-libing the lyrics and said “marmalade and a spot of tea…etc, etc.”

Then he says “I feel like I’m at a grist-mill grinding millet for the king…”

That was some funny shit. You had to be here.

You’re life ain’t shit without a bit o’love. Gotta love good ol’Martin.
