Ron Paul

In America I notice everyone is getting attention except for Ron Paul in the president candacy. Why is that?

Although I consider myself a anarchist where I hate all government and rarely vote I do like some of the positions Ron Paul operates on.

He is a threat to the way our government is running right now. I think he is silenced as much as possible by the shadows in Washington. If he wins the election, that might be it for the New World Order. Of course, the shadows in Washington wouldn’t allow him to win even if he had the most votes. Damn the shadows.

He doesn’t follow mainstream thinking of the republican party. His ideals are slightly askew for the conservative mind and only connects certain mindsets. I couldn’t sidle up to his conservatism.

He wants to legalize marijuana and is a libertarian. If no one knows of his ideas, no one will vote for him… not to mention theres a black guy and a white chick running. Personally I think all mainstream presidential candidates are major tools.

Why anarchy Joker?
I love being a punk sometimes and writing stuff on the walls and what not but the overall idea of anarchy is hypocritical.
Denying someone else of freedom and then breaking a random dudes window conflicts. If one does not want his or her window to be broken, you are denying that person the freedom of having an unbroken window. Oi!
Could you explain to me your concept of anarchy? I’m more of a libertarian socialist.

Sorry I got off topic

I love that your idea of anarchy is writing on walls. So rebellious. And anarchy isn’t about freedom or rebellion, it’s about being ruled without a coercive state. There’s no hypocrisy in anarchism…just a little stupidity (in my opinion).

Well the general gist “fuck the government, Ima write on this wall to express me feeling towards absolutely nothing meaningful”

I was talking to a friend of mine and he seems to think that the media is trying to silence him out of running campaign.

Read the book:

The Ego And His Own. By Max Stirner. That is basically the type of anarchism I revolve with.

It is the more violent perception of anarchism yet at the same time it is intelligently written.

( Max Stirner was also one of the greatest influences on Friedrich Nietzsche in his writings.)

I do think the media has an influential affect on how less acceptable politicians get recognition. Whether it’s agressive or not, I couldn’t say.

That’s my problem with modern conventional voting systems. If the media has a systematic impact on voting directions, what is the point of voting? It almost seems meaningless and theatrical through displays of monopoly.

Too true, Joker. Not to mention you have to be a multi-millionaire to run for president, rendering this country an oligarchy.

Pretty much. Atleast that is how I describe the United States. A political oligarchy.

I like the more general statement: Plutocracy

I will check that out, thanks

I’m not American, but I think the reason why Ron Paul is getting no publicity, interesting candidate as he is, is that some of his views are just unworkable. This man really wants to govern based upon the principles of classical liberalism. Unfortunately, given that this is a philosophy developed in the 19th century, its not entirely applicable now. Now, I’m sure he’s not alone in finding these principles admirable, I do too, and it would be nice if things could work like that. But I’m pretty certain they can’t. There is a reason why Britain stopped being run in that way…
