salient sounds

Recently certain salient words and phrases have been worming about in my brain trying to find a home. I put them all together in a little poem to try and express the enchantment that they seem to cast when webbed together. If it doesn’t make sense, it shouldn’t, i just like the sounds of the words. We’ll see if anyone else feels them in the same way…

a circumflexed syllable, a pressure stressed-released.
how writhes the worm, how writhes the man, how writhes the life thus leased;
how writhes the ends not subtle bends but crushed, crumpled, ceased.

I was always a fan of the circumflex
