Bravo!
At last one other
not prepared to quake
in their boots. =D>
dont live there.
I see what you did there! Clever!
Clearly.
Nothing is being done, magnet?

Why don’t you do some research first?
Baby steps, baby steps.
You’re so self-important.
A 30 second warning system?
Wow I am impressed!
Like 11 million people are expected to walk around with head-phones permanently implanted in their ears
or permanent crouched before their TV sets
so that they get time to duck before the skyscrapers fall on their heads?
Now that you mention it.
Magnetman, is there still space in your commune
Its not a commune per se
it is the beginnings of a Global Stewardship training campus.
There is always room for more willing hands
Free board and lodging and plenty of thanks for founder members
The first dorm building is half completed
come and help finish it
Your daughters are pretty hot (I just hope they don’t have your attitude). Mind if I come and, you know, give ‘em the ol’ in-out in-out? I’ll even throw in a hand to help build your cult; I’m a good carpenter.
I knew there had to be something good in you.
As to the rest
yep we are a cult alright
busy cultivating a new and kinder way of life
and I think my daughters are way too cool for you
im the jesus of carpentry.
You mean like as good as jesus or are you the Messiah of Carpentry?
The latter. I am the Messiah of nailing, screwing, drilling, plastering, and carpet laying.
Well, maybe just so-so with carpet laying. Makes me sneeze, especially when it hasn’t been cleaned in a while.
Just the qualifications we need
though we lay tile and marble
on the desert floor
not carpet so much
Now
Can you make it through our boot-camp?
Only those with deep character will do.
Sensing sarcasm, and being unable to control my wandering imagination: a pocket of air insulates sound, which is essentially the same as an earthquake. A miles deep trench lined with reinforced concrete and encircling metropolitan areas, could dampen the energy of the incoming shock-waves. The effect of layers multiplies the effectiveness instead of simply adding.
If air isn’t practical, anything less dense than the surrounding earth would achieve a similar effect e.g. non-polluting foam.
Such projects would require thousands of workers, helping to lower unemployment at the same time.
Anthem, in case you were scoffing at what I said: thehistorychannel.co.uk/site … e_3221.php Jacking any building off its foundation isn’t an impossibility.
Interesting concept
we should all keep imagination wandering
and keep fighting instead of sitting
and waiting for things to happen
Don’t take notice of squellches
they are brain dead
and envious of imaginative thinking
I was only talking about the word ‘dampening’. That means making something wet. You damp vibrations with a damper, not a dampener. It’s an engineering thing that we get pissy about. It’s kinda semantics because I knew what you meant, but, meh, half the job security is the lingo.
agleed!
Haha. My mistake; and lesson learned.
Again, I’m no engineer. Crazy engineering projects do interest me though.
