Satisfaction w/ Oneself

How many people are really satisfied with who they are?
How many would have thought they’d grow into a wholly different individual?

How many think they are just like others?
How many think they are nothing like anyone?

:-k Thoughts. Views. Opinions.

  1. I’m not.
  2. I never thought about it all that much.
  3. In some ways yes, in some ways no.
  4. I don’t think that.

I like simple quizzes.

  1. not really
  2. i never really thought about it
  3. i couldn’t fathom the thought, i’ve completely alienated myself from everything that is perceived as “normal” and the funny thing is not on purpose.
  4. see above
  1. Not fully.
  2. I certainly did.
  3. Nope.
  4. Yup.
  1. I’m satisfied with myself for the most part.
  2. I’m essentially the way I foresaw myself. (Life on the other hand…)
  3. I am unlike any other.
  4. I am nothing like anyone.

I’m very satisfied with who I am.
I never had any expectations of how I’d turn out.
Anyone who says they are nothing like anyone else is seriously deluded. Everyone is like everyone else to some extent, and to another extent nothing like anyone else. Being able to relate to others and say “I’m a lot like that person” is something we need and crave, otherwise it’s a very lonely life.

Yes, it is true that we RELATE to each other. But I do not think we are Like each other. We can relate through similar feelings and the such. However, I believe that overall we can never be on the same page.

If you look at the person as a whole, no, no one is the same, every single person is unique.

Before i go on with this, when talking about ‘same’ and ‘different’, what are we working with here? It’s a really ambiguous concept… everyone will see it differently - :-k there goes my point.

Hahaha. Well, when asking my questions, I was looking for very solid opinions. You wrote:

And so I wanted to know in more detail what made that so.

However, you are correct in writing:

Don’t argue with me. :imp:

You need to understand that I’m right & you’re wrong. :evilfun:

P.S. My individual depression is better than your social delusion; take your blinders off. :sunglasses:

Not often.

I’ll argue with you as much as I see the need to

Wow… Well put Smears. This is so true.
One must not carry their own burdens of life and what could of, should of, or would of happened in several cases - For you are sitting in a car that is driving you wherever you go. Why not put down your burdens beside you in that car rather than carry them on your own head.
In all, there is no point in wishing, hoping, or putting yourself under stress for not becoming or having things the way you wish. For the car will drive wherever it must.
You are simply going along for the ride.

My mother used to say: Life is like a spider web. The more one struggles to get out, the more they become caught in it.

Thank you for that bit, Smears. Taught me a little more about Life.

I was just thinking about this statement and it reminds me of how I used to always remind myself that all people were the same if we were to be general. For each person experiences pain, happiness, frustration, anger, etc. People always say that no one understands. But only because others are not constantly experiencing life through US. Not because they are incapable of understanding - which then becomes the case.
People say that others have more difficult lives or less difficult lives. I do not think this is true. Perhaps in the eyes of the people who think this (which is everyone), they do not see it the way I do. For I believe that each and every human being is given a difficult life or vise versa because only They are capable of handling the situation before them. I believe that those who consider themselves or are considered incapable underestimate THEMSELVES. I do not believe the way life functions in karma alone, but also around how much the person alone is capable of in reality.

I am not necessarily correct but I figure there must be some truth to it.

Yeah, fighting the inevitable is just a way of making sure that you’re good and tired when you finally die.

Get with the groove and life is like a water slide.
