So, it’s about midnight, and I have a speech to do tomorrow that I’ve just now been able to work on. How do the rest of you deal with this problem?
high gear, good music, lots of bullshit and filler. I mean, just plop out of bunch of information first, and then organize it, and try to make things flow logically together.

Persuasive about banned books
they should or shouldnt be banned?
Shouldn’t, but now it 6 in the morning, I just woke up to find all the work I did last night is gone, I don’t know what I’m going to do. Today is the last day of this speech class. Also, it’s at 9 this morning, and I don’t remember almost anything I wrote.
look, if you’ve written it before you should be ok. write a list of the 5 main reasons. ie. freedom of expression etc. then underneath each write the points that you associate with these reasons.
ie. books shouldnt be banned because everyone has the right to free expression, this means that if we ban books… etc etc
you need to introduce by outlining simply what you are going to discuss. ie. i think books shouldnt be banned for these three main reasons… or whatever
then maybe continue by highlighting the problem that banning books is trying to x=solve, then why either the problem doesn’t exist, or why banning books doesn’t overcome it, or why banning books causes more problems than it solves - thus highlighting all the problems banning books causes, the bit i talked about earlier, and then conclude
just try and memorise the main areas you need to talk about, you’ll actually look better if you speak to the audience and not having it all written down
are you allowed prompt cards. take a series of cards and on each one just write one sentence which sums up each main area you are going to talk about and then any key words or stats you need to remember but this isnt necessary
