I was doing some research one day and I stumbled over my own question. I am currently on a quest to find an answer and have had no luck with NASA, medical scientists, mystery diagnosis, or Stephen Hawking. So here I post again, looking for a chance to discover. FOP is a dibilitating disease where the body continues to form bone in the soft tissues of the body ultimately rendering the sufferer imobile. There is no cure or treatment. I was looking through the effects caused by zero gravity on the human body. Something clicked as I read that zero gravity over a certain reletively short amount of time caused the bones of the astronauts to stop growing. Need I say more?
Yeah can you suggest a mechanism whereby zero gravity applies to the disease in a world with ~1g? Have we evolved something in 1g that can exist in 0g and does? It’s not impossible but it is quite random.
