He’s trying to say he should get a lighter sentence cause he’s a good guy.

I don’t get it. Why should someone get a leaner sentence for being a good guy?

Let’s try tracking someone down like Yuri Modin or one of the hundreds
of known KGB defectors. Instead of targeting one of our own who has
served the nation, with great valour and humility.George Bush will without a doubt pardon him.
You do the crime you do the time.
What bullshit. “A kinder, gentler perjurer.”
Well, that’s sort of what I’m saying, but not really. I don’t care if he’s mean or nice, or what he did was wrong. I just think the law should be taken literally. It’s not right to give people lighter or harsher sentences for any reason. I think it should be a flat rate.
bush should pardon him (ala mark rich) then prosecute plame and wilson and have them summarily executed…

AGREED!! It’s those dirty spies that are doing the real damage. Scooter Libby may have broken the law, but he did it for the right reason, because the law was wrong. If you think about it, that’s the same thing MLK did. So how come we wanna demonize Libby, but we hold King in such high regard? I think there’s some racism going on here.
scooter libby was convicted of a process crime when the underlying “crime” was not a crime at all…
besides, fitzgerald knew it was armitage that leaked plame’s name from the beginning…

I’m totally serious.
