For those of you that liked ballad-metal, The Scorpions were one of the best.
These guys rawked hard while still managing a romantic streak.
Anyone else like this type of metal?
Any romantics in the hizzy?

The wise man said just walk this way
To the dawn of the light
The wind will blow into your face
As the years pass you by
Hear this voice from deep inside
Its the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The passage out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just find your place
In the eye of the storm
Seek the roses along the way
Just beware of the thorns

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

The wise man said just raise your hand
And reach out for the spell
Find the door to the promised land
Just believe in yourself
Hear this voice from deep inside
Its the call of your heart
Close your eyes and your will find
The way out of the dark

Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star
Here I am
Will you send me an angel
Here I am
In the land of the morning star

Send Me An Angel by The Scorpions

-Thirst4RM

Well, some rocks and some sucks. But I’m feeling charitable today, so I vote IT ROXX! :sunglasses:

As far as the Scorpions go, I prefer

It’s early morning
The sun comes out
Last night was shaking
And pretty loud
My cat is purring
And scratches my skin
So what is wrong
With another sin
The bitch is hungry
She needs to tell
So give her inches
And feed her well
More days to come
New places to go
I’ve got to leave
It’s time for a show

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

My body is burning
It starts to shout
Desire is coming
It breaks out loud
Lust is in cages
Till storm breaks loose
Just have to make it
With someone I choose
The night is calling
I have to go
The wolf is hungry
He runs to show
He’s licking his lips
He’s ready to win
On the hunt tonight
For love at first sting

Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane
Here I am, rock you like a hurricane

So close no matter how far…(thats about as feminine a song as I’ll listen too, and only because its from Metallica) And The Unforgiven II is good as well, but only when intoxicated.

Tristan/Duder:

That’s a great song.
It’s called: “Nothing Else Matters”.

-Thirst4Metal

I stopped listening to Metallica after Justice, when they basically became a boy band for geeks.

Ballads suck balls. Screw that whining crap.

Maybe I just missed it, but it seems like all this masculitity and macho-ism just appeared in the last week or two. What happened? You used to argue, not just go “Screw that girly crap! Let’s go watch Terminator 2 while we make our wives clean the house!”

ci,

LMMFAO … I might just be a little more salty than usual … I’m on a sixty three day run of no days off.

Add to that the fact that the lady has been bitching and whining about me not being present in the home, (DUH, no shit), all the while being happy to spend the money that 2.5 jobs is bringing her.

Makes a person a bit “slanted” in their perspective.

P.S. Yes, screw all that girly crap.

P.P.S. No, seriously, screw that.

“The Unforgiven” is a great song and that album was fantastic.
Ballads rawk!

-Thirst

Unforgiven is borderline country western, Hetfield should have just accepted the fact that he isn’t a singer, he’s a vocalist. (i.e. he blows when he “tries” to sing)

I dare to disagree … do you hate me yet?

Have you heard country western!? That’s not the same league!
Besides, “Sad But True”, “My Friend of Misery” and “Holier Than Thou” are hard.

Sure, they are not the hardcore speed metal of Master Of Puppets, but the words are as complex/intriguing, if not more so.

-Thirst

Again, brother thirst, I dare to disagree.

Complexity does not by definition greatness make.

The words seem right up your alley…

I’m your dream; make you real
I’m your eyes when you must steal
I’m your pain when you can’t feel
Sad but true

I’m your dream, mind astray
I’m your eyes while you’re away
I’m your pain while you repay
You know it’s sad but true

Hate
I’m your hate
I’m your hate when you want love
Pay
Pay the price
Pay, for nothings fair

-Thirst

Don’t be mad, Hetfield is a loser, I never said he could help it.

Hetfield a loser? Nah.

Speaking of romantics, Bon Jovi has some cool ballads: “In These Arms” in particular.

-Thirst

thirst, Hetfield was voted most likely to get his ass beat because he was a frigging weak dweeb in highschool, and uniquely disliked.

He’s a loser.

I despise Bon Jovi, and I’m from Joisey.

Brother Mastriani,

I was voted most likely to murder his brother…
OK, so that one may be accurate.

-Thirst

LMMFAO … =D>

WTF?!

You know this means war right?

If he was the type that was “liked” in highschool, then I’d hate him too.

Ah, it’s nice to agree. I’m not from “Joisey” though.
