hmmm, I don’t think they’re terrible by any means.
I’m not sure if like them or not though. They’re certainly different, and while different doesn’t automatically mean good, I appreciate his technique.
They remind me of something, but I can’t think of what. It will come to me…
Hmmm, I know what they’re reminding me of, drawings on the wall at a large chain of coffee retailers in my area. These are vastly superior, and it’s unfortunate that they remind me but it’s hard to shake that first impression.

I thought they were beautiful thirst. I like the forms that he draws, I think Lo was my favorite (and not just because the nipples 
)
They don’t appeal to me. Perhaps it’s because it reminds me of the fashion in the 80’s when there was lots of Surreallist / thick, volumous, stylized art going around? Perhaps I feel I’ve seen it all before?
The paintings also ooze a ‘heavy’, oppressive, vibe. Particularly the first 3. They’re pervaded with a thick, sticky, cloying atmosphere like molasses which makes me feel decidedly uncomfortable.
These are not the light, airy stuff of some dreamy surrealistic images nor the deep dark, depressive images of surrealistic nightmares. These paintings are stuck in the middle– in limbo… in a no man’s land – which is even more uncomfortable for me than being outright depressive.
Having said that, this maybe exactly what the artist is trying to capture and express. If so, he has done a magnificent job but, no matter how good middle of the road rock music is, I will never like it and the same goes for these.
