Of all the different sects, traditions, schools, histories, and philosophies of Buddhism I have read or studied over the years Japanese Shingon is the closest to my heart. It is the tradition I try to follow myself and the most influential on me.
Some day I will make a pilgrimage or die dreaming about going on one.
