The rain fell,
canceling our day.
Now we sit,
without imaginations,
unmoving in darkened room,
listening to rain
and wondering why the flowers
always seem to get chosen
over us.

Because the flowers are always giving rainey.

Simple poem…clear as day…captured very well!
wise and human
I like the poem very much! It is concise, explicit and evokes empathy. I’ve wondered why animals escape tsunamis and we don’t. Maybe we need to be more in tune with what is natural?
Giving what?
-Thirst
Steadfast acceptance of their surroundings.
Organic of the earth, it’s beauty is apparent in it’s nature.
Beauty.
Amazing. Check the times of our posts gobbo, and their content. That’s just . . . bloody strange.
Whoa…
Love.
I have been watching flowers
in my garden.
Their love
is so pure
that they give of themselves,
continuously until they die.
Their love encompasses
their beauty,
their fragrance and
their teaching.
They play their roles well.
We can learn from flowers.

For you:
-Thirst
Thank you.

No, thank you.
Have I ever told you that you are a light in a dark world?
-Thirst
I’m just a seed thirst trying to find the courage to grow into a flower.

I forgot to actually mention, Rainey, but I really really like this poem.
Nice thread. The quality of which exceeded that of the poem I think!
Thanks for your comments everyone.
A new thread for every poem? Why?
Let’s start a new one where we can all post our crappy poetry.
(Let’s face it: No one who takes it seriously posts their good stuff on the internet.)
What does that have to do with having new thread for every poem? Having 1 thread with a million poem and poem responses is simply absurd.
I think this is a great idea. Why don’t you begin Surunmurhaaja? Let the first poem of the new thread be yours. I would love to see some of your work. Not your “good stuff” of course. Nobody would expect you to post that. Just something “crappy.”
Thanks, we look forward to it.
