Very simple question, what do you think is the most important thing you’ve ever learned? And why?
A language, so I can communicate.
the truth about god. this means everlasting life.-john 17:3
(3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.)
the most important thing I ever learned…tought one…up to now its the discovery of faith in christ. Not long ago I my opinion was “There is a god or some higher being but I don’t care,” and the only reason I went to church [twice a year] was for traditional reasons. [I’m orthodox christian].
During a philosophical conversation with my friend…that sparked by the movie Passion of the Christ although the conversation was in general about god and Jesus not about the movie specifically, and during this conversation I reached an enlightenment about Jesus and faith was born in me, since then I’ve been reading the bible.
So yea…it has to be my fait in Jesus or my enlightenment, although I didn’t necessarily “learn” it by the definition of the word.
How to unblock drains…
Believe me, if you don’t know how to do this you can be left in some highly unpleasant situations…
I like this answer very much, though I might go a step further and say learning to read; or, what is more, learning the significance of reading.
To distinguish between self & other.
faith in god and self-identity
and how to open (most) locked doors without being able to pick the lock
i don’t think i’ve learned the most important thing i’ve ever learned. Now, that may seem to be self-defeating, but by chanting it 10,000, it will become illuminating.
Now really, i’m not quite sure i know what is the most important thing i’ve ever learned. If i had to take a stab at it, i’d guess that faith needn’t exclude thinking.
The most important thing I have ever learned is,
understanding, who has the problem and is their problem
my problem? Nothing else I have learned has been as
important. Nothing.

Humor can be most important thing, being able to face yourself and laugh brings humbleness and joy. Humor in a devastating situation releves stress and pain. In being able to laugh off slights or accidental insults from the ones you love keeps them close. Laughing at your enemy or those that would try to harm you brings strength. Learning how to make happiness and humor in the worst of times brings the best of times nearer. Humor keeps insanity at bay in a rough world. To truly choose the most important thing is tough, Love runs a close tie to humor. Learning to truly love is hard but well worth the effort to learn. Love is sharing, giving, releasing, forgiving and forgetting, it is not trust as much as it is hope and faith. it keeps you from ever being truly alone, it warms cold hearts and cools heated anger. Love is a mental bullet proof, very soft blanket for you to wrap around your soul. Loving someone enough to give your wholeself too that love, is truly important and hard.

My wife taught me that love is tangible. For personal reasons I do not care to enumerate, this was a lesson that had to be learned for me to continue being.
It was important because without the sensation derived from the emotion of love, I was completely bereft of identity of being one, as all is one.
