Whether we believe these stories are true, we’ve heard them time and time again. Why would people make them up?
Astral projection? An apologetic answer is demons tweaking the mind, and of course you won’t see Jesus, this is their whole plan, they want to draw you away from God and salvation by making it appear there is an afterlife but with no worries, so do nothing.
We could try to do away with all these things, and yet while I’ve only had one personal encounter, it wasn’t much, just a feeling of a presence in which 2 other people felt as well.
I’ve heard Ghost story after Ghost Story, demonic encounters over and over, why would people make these things up.
Could it be just the Brain? It could, but how does this explain certain things moved by no reason? This has much to explain.
What do you guys think, I’d like to hear thoughts.
What does catch my interest with spirits are their whereabouts…everywhere. All around the world you see tribes on every continent into spirits and symbols…it’s odd. It does beg the question of whether it’s intact of our brains or being so dominantly accepted and sensed leaving a real possibility.
Dan believes in Astral projection, he believes angels exist, it’s only a matter of whether his experiences have been the workings of demonic entities or real actual projection, in which should have some logical argument. Such as, if we will always exist after we die dan, what’s our purpose? Have our bodies created a spirit? If not by the work of God than what? I see many unanswered questions when dealing with OBEs.
I’m not sure what Dan can give me the whatsup on this old gobbo, but he may have some to add to the discussion if he will keep an open mind that is.
…so what exactly doesn’t count as being level-headed, if this does?
With someone of this kind of ‘creativity’, I’m not sure there exists a distinction between seeing something happen and making it up.
Why would people make up yetis, loch ness monsters, leprechauns, chupacabras, etc?
It’s ‘made up’, but not deliberately, not even with the knowledge of the person who is making it up. The distinction between observation of an event and its interpretation becomes completely blurred in the minds of some people such as our Lisa. Then we have neither lying nor accurate observation nor psychotic delusion per se, but myth-making.
My favorite recorded example of this mythologizing phenomenon comes from “Ramona Quimby: Age 8” by Beverly Cleary. Ramona comes to school and tells everyone how her house is being remodeled, and big men chopped right through her wall with an axe. Ramona’s sister Beezus throws a wet blanket on her enthusiasm, explaining that while their house was being remodeled, and parts of the house were being demolished, the details of Ramona’s report were completely wrong. Ramona is hurt and insists that she isn’t making it up, Beezus’ denials only increasing her determination that she is right, that she must be right, and eventually leaves in tears.
The point is, she wasn’t making it up, not exactly – when she saw what was happening she felt a certain way, and the way she felt influenced how she saw and especially how she remembered. In the excitement of the moment everything seems to have a hidden meaning, and in memory the facts are distorted to support a favored interpretation. This is the essence of mythologizing.
Lisa is a textbook case, having been convinced and highly apprehensive about demonic presence before any of the strange reported events even began. She indicates throughout how willing she is to assign bizarre hidden meanings to ambiguous events.
Combine her mythologizing narrator’s eye with a neurotic teenage satanist and I guarantee miraculous drama every time.
Why would ANYONE or ANYTHING waste it’s entire life trying to destroy your faith? I mean, I can think of atleast 1000 more pleasurable things to do then that.
All them sinful carnal spirits are probably having sex and gay tolerance right now, not suppressing people & trying to force them to submit to what the perfect all-mighty says.
“Demons” are, in many ways, just like apostates and infidels. They are X-believers, and more of them then you’d guess – are less violant then the believers.
Unless the pope has actually done Astral Projection, he’s in no position to judge it, but the preachers don’t exactly need any experience or knowledge in something before they condemn it as evil.
The bible does not say anything about Astral Projection.
Check out Revelations, and other places.
Even though I don’t really even like the bible, inside of there it specifically says not to add to it, or take away from it. And once ANY stem of Christendom ADDS to the bible instead of leaving it up to personal-interporatation or nutrality, THEY BREAK THE COMMANDMNETS OF THE BOOK THAT THEY SUPPOSEDLY FALLOW.
That’s what happens when someone makes things too personal, they act as if they OWN GOD, and can personally say what God wants and WHY “he” wants it.
I think it’d be more reasonable if they just backed down and encouraged you to think for yourself as they told you to read your own bible & do your own study.
If You were blind, but You heard a bell sound moving through the room, You’d probably guess that it was a cat’s colar, or something like that. But if You did not know what a cat was, You would feel scared and make a false assumption.

That same principal applies to any life-form which does not reflect light. Unless someone has well-developed ESP, they almost never correctly guess what the metaphysical life-form is.
People don’t all make these things up.
People make stuff up about how they had sex with 20 girls and the same time and punched through a double-window without getting cut, etc.
In one of these videos, some people were wondering who or what kept on wrecking a house-construction-site, so they planted cameras around to try to catch the human offender. And … well, you can see the plate which is ripped from the wall, and the chair which is shoved across the room, whilst nothing is physically visible there.
That’s just ONE of the millions of proofs which were either filmed or not filmed, etc.
We can prove that there is invisible life on earth, but I think it’s a bit of a pidgeon-hole to go and say it’s all demons. Just look at how many material species there are on earth. Why wouldn’t that kind of diversity exist even moreso invisably?
Think of our purpose as similar to that of the ‘universe’ which exists within a single cell in our bodies. There is no ‘death’ in the sense that our bodies are just as ambiguous in the multi-cosmic design as the ‘nothingness’ which exists within a cell. The fact that we are individual perspectives right now is not a priviledged one, other entities regard it as irrelevant and not even worth their time. It would be like one of us going through all the trouble just to examine a singular cell on our body in detail – that entity doesn’t care about some irrelevant cell.
Still though… it -is- beautiful to us because… it is, we find beauty in that -underlying- pattern. I do believe in a God quite firmly, or at least some sort of driving force. The thing that most people cannot realize is that the effects are so subtle and convoluted by what we perceive to be such… divine archetypal things like duality, and intricate natural design. These are merely observable trends – manifestations.
Geotia are NOT fallen angels, these are two very different lifeforms.
There are many winged bipedial reptilian metaphysical lifeforms. Morphology IS NOT morality. (I gotta say that again) MORPHOLOGY IS NOT MORALITY.
I think that the word itself: “demon”, is rather useless. Instead, use the [neopagan?] term: “neg”.
As you look at your body, you will see that both pain and pleasure, fear and courage, each of these things are all meant to aid your survival and make you exist. Your hands are survival tools. Your mouth is a survival tool. Everything about you is ‘designed’ to survive.
Even if some of these break-down, other parts of your living systems will not give up; they will try to repair themselves and keep functioning.
“what’s our purpose?”
Almost every single piece of your body is meant to preserve and assist the whole self. Even if you may not see a purpose in your body as a whole thing, when you look at the smaller parts, maybe you’ll see what they all want for you. They want life.
If blood was drained out of your body, your body would make more. If part of your liver was removed, it would grow back. Etc. Regenoration, or at least repair & growth – are standard in your living systems.
If your body creates spirit, and spirit is removed, I would estimate that your body would soon create more spirit. As I have created spirits, obviously, I believe that spiritual-substance is one of the many things which a body can genorate.
I see most of this universe as being unobservable, materially.
Remember, our perceptive organs were meant to deal with earth and help us to survive, our perceptive organs were not meant to show us clearly every part of reality which exists.
I’ve said some stuff… A tiny bit, and there is too much for me to ever express or explain.
"As I watch the midnight skies,
And liquid green waves of northern lights flow on by,
I remember how tiny our planet really is,
And at the same time:
How very vast it is.
I tell myself:
‘There is infinite meaning,
because there is infinity’."
