We will never have the best man or woman for the job as President because the best man or woman for the job are the ones who don’t want to be President.
Liberals and Conservatives are two polarizing forces, each a product of each other. Similar to the antichrist/christ, neo/agent smith, liberals and conservatives are the inevitable result of sides in a two party political system. Their ideologies are chosen based upon what the other is not, an anti of each other as the only means possible to garner votes to gain power for what both sides want, a better United States. Logic and reason are not their foundation because liberals are anti-conservative and conservatives are anti-liberal.
Since we as humans are all liars and lie as a means for survival, none of us truly know what is going on anywhere with any thing that needs to be decided upon. What is the best path for the future is always unknown regardless of how others argue. History does tend to repeat itself, but as history shows us, the future is unknowable, the past is changeable, and the present is a mix of deceit, truth, greed, and self preservation.
Politicians are camouflaged in their actions by doing whats best for the whole (in theory of this democratic republic) when in fact its best for themselves (in reality of human nature).
In a global spectrum, wars are always unnecessary. Yes they are necessary to defend oneself and to assure security, but the root of war is always avoidable and on a long enough time line always inevitable.
I literally just said in another thread: ‘Partisan politics slow Democracy to a crawl’. I get tired of Republicans and Democrats and their immature name calling and ridiculous antics. Bickering between the two parties does nothing more than make everyone look foolish while little ‘governing’ even gets done. I hate bi-partisanship. It really upsets me when people ask me if I’m liberal or conservative. For the record, I’m neither. I’m not in the middle of the spectrum either. I don’t believe government and personal choices can be defined so simply. Everyone is unique…wait, let me re-phrase: everyone with a brain in their skull is unique. If at any point someone says “I’m 100% this or that.” it’s a sign of ignorance. If choices aren’t made case by case, and only get a liberal book or a conservative book thrown at them, it’s a sign of ignorance.
I have friends that didn’t even know there were government parties other than the main two.
The same ignorance gets passed down from generation to generation. It’s too late to re-educate the masses. I propose everyone’s voting rights be suspended until an IQ and critical thinking test be passed with sufficient scores.
The natual tendency to dicotimize, did I say that right; to divide everything into two, good and bad, left and right, day and night cconservative and liberal leave out the possibility that there might be a third choice always…The best situation for thought, for progress, or for a correct choices is to leave everyone free of labels…Do we have a common purpose??? Do we have a tie that binds??? Do we have a soul mother since our natural common mother is long forgotten??? The closest we can come in this land to an Alma Mater is the notion of justice… How far is that away from all parties??? They serve themselves …They divide the place and the people between them…Mostly they divide us when unity is the most essential quality to every true democracy…It is that fact which separates democracies from majority rule governments…Majority rule counts on people going along, or being left out…No democracy would settle for this… Democracies pursue consensus as the pearl of great value, because once societies are divided they can always be divided again, and again, and there will always be a majority…Sooner or later the majority goes too far, and denies to minority too many rights and loses legitamacy…That is where we are; where we have been ruined by halves, and no matter who holds power, the minority no longer wants to go along…
